I have been without a digital camera for a long time, especially after I gave mine to my father.. a few of you fellow members (you know who you are) asked for my car's pictures since my last accident, so I borrowed Chris's digital camera today to snap some (which will be in 2nd post)..

To answer some of your questions

I didnt do this in any particular order, but for any of you whom I didnt mention, you know who you are, and thank you very much for your help. These people have been there for me timelessly to assist me, either in person or via the internet/phone.
I can't believe this car started life as a 1996 240sx. It has come a long ways since then (and in only 2 years!). and NO I am not done.. I still hope to improve it day after day (and dollar after dollar, hehehe :D ). I've still got more things I need to do to it. I'm just happy with what has been done.

Great look overall for the car. I don't want the bumper, but that's cause I have a 91 FB. So, just a quick question: how does the HKS exhaust sound with the KA? Shopping around and need some opinions.

Seeing this overall package makes me wish I had an S14 chassis at times... ah well.

EDIT: not that it matters, but I like the wheels on the car:)

The HKS dual drager sounds rather quiet for a 85mm exhaust on a KA. It is still loud for an N/A exhaust.

It is the quietest and most subtle out of all the dual exhausts offered in the US, and my 2nd favorite to the Fujitsubo Legalis Dual. too bad it is no longer made.

I like my wheels too. It is sort of an inside joke/pending deal with Kid zelda and me.

Grant awesome car...I truely respect your passion for 240sx, as you have shown what a 'real' 240sx is. Ive truely admired your car from day one a year ago, when you had the stock front end...your progross over that year is incredibly, not only do you NOT rice out your car, you modify your car on the basis of kouki parts....good job grant....fellow friend.

Tanabe G-Power medallion, muffler shop custom, Apex N-1, Greddy MX, Greddy DD, 5 zigen fireball, not to mention 2 different stock exhausts, and the HKS Dual Drager. hehehehhe, at least my exhausts bolts dont freeze and break..

I think i also had like 6 different cd players on it too

THose wheels will eventually go on mrmephistopheles' s13 or Kid Zelda's S13 .. I'm not that fond of them either, but its the best 16" rim i could find.. I want 18's now hehe.

Fog lights are USDM 240sx, they are missing the outer cover, therefore it looks really funky, but thats no matter, either i get a pair of japanese fog lamps (they have the trim for the lights to seat flush with the bumper). Either that or the bumper's going to go eventually.

I don't know what hasn't been ocverd yet, soo.... looks good. Me loves Kouki S14 that looks nice.

p.s. F_ck the USDM front bumper. Looks like Ass in a jar. Get a full aero tune stage 18 (:D ) from Vertex. MMmm sexy.

That is an alternative to the N-1 dual 75mm piping, makes the exhaust rather quiet. Talk to KEINsm or Sam at jspec to get the rare exhausts. Speed Alliance may be carrying these soon

Lauren: My exhaust isn't as loud as dual n-1, only slightly louder then HKS hiper/ 5zigen fireball. And quieter than the single pipe 85mm HKS drager II

Aaron: the DD was much louder on my car. I used a 60mm gasket on Hank's car thus making it quieter.

Anubis: Imagine this, no muffler with 80mm piping. That, my friend is Nitekid's car. (No muffler x2 hehe)

I paid 3000yen for my exhaust used off yahoo auctions. (It totaled about $165 when it reached my doorstep, shipping is a BITCH). Is it worth it? I don't know.. I had to trim my bumper support because the tips smacked against it (ever notice the dents on top of your muffler tips? now you know where it is from). I like the looks of it a lot, its helps performance a tad bit..

To be honest, there isn't much about performance to be discussed here, we are showing pics, thus more concentrated on looks. An exhaust doesn't help that much on a KA. There is also a huge variety of exhausts to choose from (that yield similar performance gains). An exhaust can yield only a certain amount of gains (maybe 5 hp or so an N/A car), hell, even on a turbo car it ca only do so much, the rest is aesthetics. For performance, stick with something that's 60mm, anything more/less doesn't really help. There really isn't any reason to get exhaust at all on a KA, doesn't help that much. 50% power 50%looks, which is pretty much all there is to it.

Thanks for the info, Chris! So it is 100% true that HKS has discontinued the Dual Drager for the 240sx? If you happen to see anyone who wants to sell their used one (in good condition of course), can you post it here on Zilvia? I absolutely love the looks of it and it seems to be the best sound (not look loud, not too high-pitched).

I don't know how I missed this thread. I guess I've just been too busy lately. I'm thinking of getting those wheels from you again, Grant, what with all the extra cash the Marine Corps is throwing my way. Probably after we get Lisa's engine swapped, I'll buy them. I already sent her the money to pay for the swap.
