it seems like stock toe arms will adjust toe just fine on slammed cars, and i have an energy suspension bushing kit so id have pretty solid bushings in them.
but am i wrong about them being able to adjust? would there be THAT huge of a performance difference?
hmmmm
(trying to save some money lol)
opinions. my car is mostly a track car BTW.

when you start adjusting other things, like height and camber, it's nice to have the adjustability in the rest of the arm and pillowballs
someone else will explain it better than me
The way I've always imagined it, . . . picture a triangle, and you fiddle with the length and angle of one arm. The other two sides will have to change position or length or else you no longer have a triangle

for sure. im just trying to figure out if the "triangle" can be adjusted properly with the stocker with good eccentrics. i guess i should just get aftermarket stuff.

no it cant be 'properly' adjusted. Stock arms are non adjustable and only give so much adjustment for variation. Go all the way or don't at all. Don't get eccentric bushings thats just stupid... be patient and save money > get adjustable arms with spherical bushings which will articulate properly, be precise, have no bind, no friction, and do the job right... why are s chassis owners so cheap...

If you lower your car below a certain point then yes you need them to get a proper alignment.

I was gonna say once your car gets to a certain ride height toe arms are a MUST because you have to adjust it with camber.
I had my car tucking 18s and I couldn't go more positive than -4.5* of camber without fucking up my toe settings.
If I had toe arms I could've fixed that.

i have aligned more different 240 setups then i can count on 2 hands and stock toe arms become useless when you lower your car. There just isnt enough adjustment unless you want to run a lot of - camber in the rear, which i dont.

well if your trying to go low, the money you're saving on toe arms will be spent replacing unevenly worn tires once a month.

Buy the toe arms.
Excessive toe will kill tires fast.
Save up and do it right.
Then get proper alignment.

You wont need aftermarket Toe-arms...IF YOU DONT PLAN ON GOING THAT LOW. If you plan on slamming it, you will need toe arms. For you to adjust your alignment (camber) within spec, you will run out of Toe arms adjustment before you get there if your slammed.

I have a s14 that has 17 x 10 and 245/45/17 and its sitting pretty much right on top of the tire. My car definately is not slammed status but low enough for my taste. I have battle version camber arms and when I got an alignment my stock eccentric toe adjustment got me within oem alignment specs so I have no need to waste 200 some dollars on toe arms....yet.

In defense of anyone wanting to buy toe arms, my friend told me once the alignment is adjusted the toe arms have deflection that really doesn't keep the toe static for say on rebound and compression of the suspension...
Or something like that.
I am gonna get Toe arms and stop fucking around, never had em before on my next car.
