Let me know what you think I am really happy with the way that it turned out!! I also took pics of the entire installation process so if you guys think I should I could write up an install guide, even though the instructions are pretty complete..

Hey... what's up with the gtr thing replacing the ashtray in that car?
Wow! Those gauges look awesome. I am wanting to totally redo my setup to. The plain black gauges white numbers and white needles gets quite boring after a while

It's a custom plexiglass insert that I made myself, I am never gonna let anyone smoke in my car again so I figured I'd replace the ashtray and after playing around with a lot of ideas that's what I came up with... It's lit up by a tiny piece of blue neon and looks really impressive at night...
the whole thing cost:
$free - Plexi
$15 - mini blue neon
$15 - GTR emblem
$5 - lots of bolts and nuts
I know a lotta people might think its ricey esp. since a 240 has nothing to do with a GTR but I like it a lot and no one I know knows what a GTR is anyway =P... If you wanna know how I made mine, let me know.. It's really neat and unique IMO.. thanks for noticing!

yeah, it looks pretty cool when it's lit up. Hmm... I wonder if I could do that with a nissan emblem...

Yeah it'd be really easy... I wish I woulda thought of that... The emblem off the hood would fit nicely.. The hard part is making the actual plexi housing.. wiring the neon and all that is easy. If you wanna do this, you NEED a dremel type tool. Lemme know if you want instructions or whatever...

Yeah, that'd be cool. I can't say for sure whether i'll do it or not, but I'd like to know how either way.

I'm gonna take another pic of it since the other one was crappy, I'll let you know when I post it... Thanks for all the compliments on the gauges I'm really happy how they turned out..
I'll tell yer what i dont like about em darn thingers partner. The carbon fiber is really a sticker its not real. Too bad man.

Yeah, well, they cost 35 bucks lol.. I'm not about to spend several hundred dollars on real carbon fiber gauges.. I'd rather put that kinda cash towards an engine swap...
Hmm, now that I think of it, it would be pretty silly to have 'real' carbon fiber gauges since no light would shine through them at all and you'd just be guessing at rpm and speed at night time. =P
how much did it cost to get ur needles blue?.. did u do that urself as well? if so, let me know how u did it, i have an s14 and would love to get some blue needles on my speedo, tac, gas, etc. thanks

Yeah I like anime a lot.. Not as much as I used to in high school but still, alot... BTW if you haven't seen the new Akira DVD, get it, it's rad... ####, that movie is practically the reason I got a sportbike hehe
how hard was it to install those stickers? and do you think they are worth it?
only reason i havent gotton them is cause they are stickers. and the way they do the needles is they use your stock ones? i forgot what i had read on teir site before.
but that is a nice setup man

Well, it wasn't *hard* but it was really nerve wracking... I had to pull the steering column down really far to get the cluster out, and then I had to remove the needles to get the gauge faces off... Very delicate work, not hard, just very delicate... I didn't have any problems and I would reccomend them to anyone.

is there a way i can do the needles blue without paying the guy $80<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>
if i had $80 i would spend it on something else.....
Bluesix: from what u see in the blue needle kit, could i make one from radio shack using the LED lights??
I have some gauges for a 95-98 240SX. I got the Metal Flake ones and the Blue Indiglo Needles. If anyone wants them make an offer. I was to lazy to install em <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
#### that looks hella pHAT.....love it even if it ain't real carbon fiber...oh wells it still looks PHAT!!!...#### i can imagine me driving with that dash on it'll make other drivers stare into my car..haha....

ok first thing try getting the guage cluster out with out moving the steering colom down!!! i did it that way for months! (i have 5 diffrent guage sets I change back and forth!) then I found out about the colom screws! I broke three of the trim peices around the color doing it this way!
If someone would be so kind as to tell me how to get some #### pics up. then I will sho you some bad ass guages that you people can never have! i'm the only one with them! hahahaha
want to see them then help me out!
oh ya how do you take the needles out when you replace the guage faces? i did mine and it screwed up 2 sets of my guages! i used the 2 spoon trick but when i put the needles back in they either didn't work or they were off?
any clues?<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>
Thanks Peps!
