Can somebody just comfirm what the FSM says for codes 34 and 41. I looked it up on 240sx.org but IIRC I read somewhere that not all the codes were accurate on that site. Just want to make sure I'm going to be changing the right parts before I start throwing around dough. Also, the codes are for a 1995 s14 w/ KA, and from what I got on 240sx.org the codes were the air intake temp sensor and the knock sensor. Thanks for any help.

yeah code 41 is air temp sensor. code 34 is knock sensor circuit. from personal expierence check the voltage coming from the wires. i had code 41, but when i check the voltage on the wires it was 0 on the hot side(from the ecm), but i got a reading from the ground. so the ground was good, but the hot was not. coming directly out the ecm i got a reading so i guess the wire got bad somewhere going to the sensor. ran a new wire and code 41 was no more.

if you need ecu diagrams let me know. for the knock sensor, check the voltage from the wires and go from there. im looking through a chiltons and i dont see anything in the index about the knock sensor, but if i find it ill let you know. usually theres a way to test that too.

thanks for the info man, now I'm gonna go use the multimeter from work and see what I can find. Another thing, does the intake temp sensor ever just 'go bad'. Mine's clean and the wires were broke inside the clip, so I just cut the clip out and soldered the wires back. And might you know how much that sensor might affect performance. Thanks again. :D
