Mitch @ AEM custom configured a box to read the factory VQ engine’s sensors
allowing full control of the timing with the variable cams.
Vehicle retains all factory accessories. Custom A/C lines were made to adapt the 350Z
A/C compressor to the 240. Power steering lines were re-located and re-routed since the
power steering pump on the VQ engine is on the passenger side.
Custom hard line was bent to connect the clutch master cylinder to the clutch slave, the
clutch slave on the VQ tranny is on the driver’s side as compared to the KA engine, on
the passenger side.
Sun roof, power windows and power door locks were all retained during the build.
Power cables, distribution blocks, and battery terminals were all supplied by Lightning
Audio.
Battery was relocated to the trunk to help balance the weight and make room for the
boost tube. Allowing the boost tube from the intercooler to the throttle body to run on the
passenger side. Keeping the heat from the turbocharger away from the boost tube to the
throttle body.
The VQ engine was converted to a throttle cable style throttle body and a return style fuel
system to adapt to the 240 chassis.

I should've added that a NA VQ35DE in my 510 is an absolute blast. A VQ with boost in a light car (like a 240) is absolutely insane
