A while ago I swapped S14 seats into my S13. Everything I read said they dropped right in with no reported problems. However, after I installed them, I noticed that there was a decrease in leg room. A quick look told me that the S14 seat was hitting the seatbelt reel located behind the seat. Tonight I installed s14 seatbelts to see if that would take care of the problem.
Before I began, I measured the distance from the front of the seat to the clutch pedal.
*Please note, these measurements are just for reference.. they aren't 100% exact, I just needed to see if the belts made any difference*
The measurement from the front of the seat to the clutch pedal was 20.5". I then removed all of the S13 belts and installed the S14 belts. After reinstalling the seat, I measured the distance again and it was 21.5". The seatbelt reel stops the s14 seats from sliding back another inch.
After driving around cramped for a few weeks, this 1" of room makes a world of difference. I recommend the s14 seatbelt swap to the taller 240 owners.
