Amazing what a huge opening weekend at the box office can do. After debuting with a record-breaking $72.5 million haul (http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/06/vin-number-fast-and-furious-shatters-records-with-72-5m-opening/) in its first few days, the fourth installment, Fast & Furious tapered off a bit last week at $28 million, but that hasn't slowed the franchise one little bit.

In an interview on Friday with Los Angeles radio station 104.3MYfm, star Paul Walker said that a fifth installment is practically a sure thing now: "This was supposed to be it - but without question, Vin and I will be coming back, we're making the fifth one and we're going to Brazil." We hate to say we told you so, but... well, we did.

Based on the results of our previous poll, we're guessing that most of you will be up for another go assuming the trailers and buzz show it to be at least as good as the current film. But what do you think? Is a fifth installment with some Brazilian flair worth doing? Will you see it if they make it? Take our poll after the jump and let us know.

Are they trying to have a competition with SAW for longest run out movie series?

why not?

whether or not a some of us enjoy the film isn't going to change much.
I didn't care for it personally, but I felt it served it's purpose well.

I'll be there like I was for all the rest of them. It is what it is that movie will always make money. Now if they're adding brazilian chics in with it I'm def down.

My gf's Brazilian. She definitly has the assets to back it up and set her appart from the black gals we have in the US. If I take her to this movie I have a feeling this will be me :smash: leaving the theater and :Ownedd: afterwards.

Dispite several of us not being excited about these movies, did you guys notice that a lot of people who voted are supportive of making another movie? I'm glad i had free passes to any and as many movies as i wanted back when the first one came out. IMO it wasnt worth buying tickets for. And I waited till someone rented or bought those other F&F movies before i watched them. The Florida one is by far the worst. That police chase scene where it ends at some garages then all those tuner cars come out of the garages while the cops were waiting outside must have cleared theater rooms.

Brazilian Models.

lol, thought this was a car movie, not a porno.
maybe that just goes to show the direction of the film.
guess i shouldn't be surprised.

about brazil, I've been to Rio and honestly it's not the big deal ppl make it out to be in terms of chicks.
cars there are pretty pedestrian and nothing special.
just lots of boring econoboxes, and a couple of riced out econoboxes.

Been there done that. Been to Latin America already as well. I think they should set the movie in Europe or something, or New York.

agreed they should go to europe, no offense to the latin people but its gettin old. and besides europe has a stronger racing background than brazil

wouldn't mind if they had in Mogandishu,
Mad Max style with lots of graphic carnage & other pleasantries.
also no more PG-13 non-sense.

nothing to do in New York.. lol unless you want to be stuck in NYC traffic and see the cars hit pot holes all day. Upstate there's not much action going on either compared to the streets of LA.

Keep the franchise alive, its a great movie with some sweet cars(a few of them neway)...

stop calling it a fucking "scene". people who say "import scene" got into cars because of movies. people who like cars like cars, and it's not how you stand by your car, or what fucking "doucheXstupidbullshit" limited edition alternate color t-shirt you buy.

glad they're not doing europe on the fifth one. it'd either be a bunch of boring luxo shit or a bunch of ford festivas with 80 muffler tips. i've read an issue or two of Max Power in my day.

Actually, there is a lot of street racing in New York. just not in the city itself. The outer boroughs, bronx, queens, brooklyn, etc. is where it all goes down. Back in the day it used to be a madd street race feast where you would see at least 100 races per night and over 200+ cars. These days its a lot more organized since the cops shut the crazy days down. I used to do it a lot but I've since grown out of it.

I think a F&F film in NYC would be pretty cool. I just hope if they ever did it that they wouldn't find a way to destroy the entire city. Seems every big budget movie has some crazy disaster that destroys all of NYC, lol.

NYC nightlife is insane, i wish i could live my 20's in it.

if i'm ever a millionaire i'm going to move to manhattan for a short while and collect vintage vinyl in my authentic loft space. i'll listen to the Clash and work on my fixie in my living room. i picture the bike propped upsidedown on a wooden egg crate.

these movies will live on forever because people love to see them when they come out, dispite how some of us dislike the movies.

NYC would be absolutely perfect.
cars aside, the urban scenery would be hard to top.
yeah there are pot-holes and traffic there, but that's negligent when shooting a movie.
besides, it's not like LA, Miami, & Tokyo don't have potholes, traffic, & other fun obstacles.

I'd imagine it might be more difficult & expensive to shoot in NYC, but that's about it.
Not so sure about upstate, but I wouldn't mind seeing Vin Diesel strutting about in the Hamptons.

I think they should redo Miami again but with an actual quality script and good cars not the bullshyt rice they put in that movie. But then again im being biased since i live 30 mins from Miami and just wana party on the set again. Maybe Chicago or Houston would be good places as well. But im down for Brazil if there is alot of Brazilian ass to be seen in the movie as well as some nice cars.

They can do as they did in Spiderman 3, and film some of the New York Street scenes here in Cleveland, OH, where the streets are pretty empty so it is easy to close them off for filming... then again, I am being selfish too since I live here.
