View Full Version : Clutch has no pressure and sticks to the floor.

I was having some issues with my clutch not engaging where I wanted after I did my SR swap. People kept telling me to bleed the lines, although I dont see why cause I never disconnected the slave. Well last night I tried to remove my damper box. Now the clutch pedal has no pressure at all. When I press it down it just stays down. When I have someone press on the clutch to bleed it, nothing comes out. There is no movement with the slave at all. The fluid in the master wont drop down as well. Also before I removed the damper box, my fluid was black.
Although I dont know if this matters, I messed with the adjustment "bar" a good bit before I did all this.
Can anyone help me out?

OK, changed out the master and slave. Pedal still has NO pressure. When trying to bleed them, the slave has no pressure. Do I just keep pumping although it has no pressure? I figured even with the line full of air it still would have pressure. Help me! I wanna drive this car tonight!

OMG LOL that would be hella funny.
There is no reason for pressure to not build if you do not have a leak in your lines, and if your clutch pedal is hooked up after replacing those parts.

Nvm I figured it out. I just kept pumping the pedal like a 100 times, then kept bleeding it til it got firm. The air just takes a long time to build up pressure.

Yeah thats what I was about to say, just keep doing it
A little trick to it, is to push in the slave cylinder with your hand and open the bleeder
It was taking forever for me then I did that and the pressure started coming back

i gravity bleed it first and that usually saves me the trouble of pumping

Shit, if you changed the mastercylinder, you should have bench bled the master first. Would have save you alot of time by making sure thats done.

This.
Always bleed a new master cylinder before attaching the hardline.
