So i recently got my resonated reinhard exhaust installed
and i have a few questions.
How much does having a silecner restrict gains as well as resonator???
Its a 3" piping with 4" tip for a NA, so far i took off the silencer but kept the resonator....
the silencer really makes it quiet..... but im gonna leave it off till cops start harassing me.

as far as i know a resonator is just an enlarged chamber it shouldn't really restrict your gains but just add weight.
On the other hand silencer will definitely massively restrict your gains as you basically cap the exhaust, it acts as a sized restriction. Even if you have a 5" pipe at the end if you block it off with a 1" peep hole that's what would happen.

why do you even have 3"inch your not turbo???
bc i searched on zilvia, dyno proven whether stock exhaust was bad or not.
though its been told i lose low end torque... i gain a lot in the high end sir.

Put an exhaust valve on it that you can close when you go past cops. Apexi sells one, they used to have an active tip silencer but I have only seen it on one car ever

^Apexi ECV, I have one. It's a worth it in my opinion. The silencer does restrict, so does the ECV if not open.

everytime the question comes up, someone will say that you will lose low-end torque. I have yet to see any evidence to support that claim. I have, however, seen evidence that refutes it.

I had a Civic with a mildly built B18C. i dynoed 10whp more just by taking the silencer out.
