This is not a joke, our whole company is getting prepared to handle any issues that this might cause.
The virus is already on the computers it's going to do damage to, it just hasn't fully "activated" until tomorrow and no one knows exactly what it's going to do.
Anyone who thinks Norton, AVG, McAfee or anything else is going to be the end all solution is sadly mistaken. If you already have it, they will not be able to remove it.
Also to those of you who want to try to start a Mac vs PC debate, yes we all know that no one wastes there time writing virus' or spyware for a system that has only 5% marketshare(approx). Even though I prefer Mac.

Actually, this is a good thing for me. I do computer repair, so the more people who get infected means more work for me. In a time like this, more work is always a good thing.
I was just trying to inform people of the situation. If you want to see if you're infected, try going to a secure website. The conficker virus(aka April Fools virus) will prevent you from logging into secured sites, thats a quick way to see if you may be infected.

those win32 viruses are nothing nice. i recently lost everything on my computer do to it. all my school media etc. some of my school media was backed up on my flash drives which conveniently also got infected. i haven't reformatted them in hopes of a future cure but its not looking good at all.
like most here i am also running avg (Symantec Antivirus) and have beenf or years. although its a great program it only takes one unscanned exe to fist yourself. be sure and update your virus definitions daily.
