hey guys just having some problems with my 89' sohc. i searched and searched but nothing :-/
problem is that it hits an early fuel cut in 3rd at around 5000 Rpms, 4th 5000 as well, and 5th gear at around 3900-4100. what can be causing this? I'm pretty sure it's not timing. i also checked my MAF and its good

any suggestions? :fruit:
thanks

replace fuel filter with a z32 filter its probably dirty as hell unless you replaced it recently

found the problem. well i have HUD on my car and since its not working and the cluster lights don't turn on, i guess its not sending a signal from the speed sensor to the ECU, which is causing it to have some sort of an early rev limit. for some weird reason my cluster lights decide when they want to work or not and when it lights up, it works perfectly fine.

so buying a new cluster and replacing it fixed your problem? I have a similar problem with my 95 s14 zenki too, It has a fuel cut on 5th gear around 2500rpm, the rest of the others are fine. But on the freeway it cuts the fuel.
