I don't think it's a big deal personally.
some may consider newsworthy ammunition, considering chatterbox Biden has preached against drugs.
it might have been meaningful if this was brought up before running for the senate.
now, it's not going to amount to more than a pile of beans.

A "friend" of Vice President Joseph Biden's daughter, Ashley, is attempting to hawk a videotape that he claims shows her snorting cocaine at a house party this month in Delaware.
The anonymous male acquaintance of Ashley took the video, said Thomas Dunlap, a lawyer representing the seller.
Dunlap and a man claiming to be a lawyer showed The Post about 90 seconds of 43-minute tape, saying it was legally obtained and that Ashley was aware she was being filmed. The Post refused to pay for the video.
The video, which the shooter initially hoped to sell for $2 million before scaling back his price to $400,000, shows a 20-something woman with light skin and long brown hair taking a red straw from her mouth, bending over a desk, inserting the straw into her nostril and snorting lines of white powder.
She then stands up and begins talking with other people in the room. A young man looks on from behind her, facing the camera. The lawyers said he was Ashley's boyfriend of a few years.
The camera follows the woman from a few feet away, focusing on her as she moves around the room. It appears not to be concealed. At one point she shouts, "Shut the f--- up!"
The woman appears to resemble Ashley Biden, 27, a social worker for a Delaware child-welfare agency and a visible presence during her father's campaign for the White House.
The dialogue is difficult to discern, but the woman makes repeated references to the drugs, said the lawyers, who said they viewed the tape about 15 times.
"At one point she pretty much complains that the line isn't big enough," said the second lawyer, who declined to identify himself. "And she talks about her dad."
Biden has been an outspoken crusader against drugs, coining the term "drug czar" in 1982 while campaigning for a more forceful "war on drugs."
The lawyers declined to name the person who shot the video, but said he knew Ashley well and had attended other parties with her at which there were illegal drugs.
The lawyers said the shooter used a camera with a hard-disc drive that he later destroyed, drilling into the device and tossing it into a lake.
The woman in the video acknowledges the camera in a way that makes it clear she knows she's being recorded, the lawyers said, waving at it during a part of the video not shown to The Post.
No one else in the video is seen using the drugs. The portion of the tape shown to The Post ends shortly after the woman's alleged ingestion.
The shooter claims that he previously tape-recorded Ashley at a party in August, but was unsuccessful in his attempts to sell that video, they said.
An American media company offered $250,000 for the footage and access to the person who shot the tape, according to the lawyers.
Another company, based overseas, offered $225,000, they said.
The unnamed lawyer hinted that his client had additional information that could embarrass the vice president's daughter.
"The higher the price, the more he'll reveal," said the lawyer.
The lawyers said the video shooter was afraid of being identified and prosecuted for his role in the alleged drug use.
"He's got a criminal-defense attorney," said Dunlap, who has offices in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
The other lawyer said Ashley didn't have Secret Service protection at the time of the party because she complained about agents blocking her driveway.
"She complained to her dad about it and he got rid of them," he said.
This isn't the first brush with scandal for Ashley, who was arrested in 2002 when she yelled at a cop trying to arrest her disorderly friend outside a Chicago club, according to published report.
She was charged with obstructing, but the rap was later dropped after she apologized.
Ashley is the youngest of three siblings, and the only one born to the vice president and his second wife, Jill. Joe Biden's first wife, Neilia, and 13-month-old daughter, Naomi, died in a 1972 car crash. Her two half-brothers are Beau, 40, and Hunter, 39.
Phone messages left at the offices of Vice President Biden and Jill Biden, who were in Chile last night for meetings with South American leaders on economic issues, were not immediately returned.
Ashley also did not respond to messages left at her Delaware home.

We get it. Obama is the black Jesus come to save us all. I love all this fucking change we have. Obama's budget is going to spend more money than any president has spent since Washington combined...this includes GW Bush and all his glorious fuck ups the last 8 years. Are we not allowed to air Obama's and his staff's dirty laundry now? How is that being a poor loser? I think it is pretty fair and balanced. Are you saying we are not allowed to hate on a guy for the same reasons you hated another guy? Obama lied too, why don't we start holding him accountable for all his promises of change.

he's trying to do the multiplier effect on a massive scale, adding to u.s. debt, but the consequences could move the economy from the left to equilibrium. he may be doing other things, but that's the most obvious strategy that i see being implemented.

So how do you gentlemen feel about Mr. Brobama forcing the GM CEO to resign today?
It's really hard to say.
I'm just not so sure this accomplishes anything, other than maybe serve as a publicity stunt.
I'd also like to know if there's any concrete accountability for the additional loans.
Firing the CEO doesn't magically make the company profitable all of a sudden.
Obviously the last loan isn't going to be paid back anytime soon.
Don't see how it could be any different this time around.
I really hope firing Wagoner isn't the best solution obama has.
Personally I'd much rather the government refrain from another bailout,
force GM to file for CH.11 and dissolve their existing high cost obligations.
It's probably the only way they can cut costs asap.
Oops nevermind, there does seem to be solid plan after all...
will be interesting to see how it plays out.

WASHINGTON - The Obama administration plans to give General Motors Corp. enough government aid to restructure over the next 60 days, while Chrysler LLC will get up to $6 billion and 30 days to complete an alliance with Italian automaker Fiat SpA.
Two people familiar with the plan said Sunday it will demand further sacrifices from the automakers and bankruptcy would still be possible if the automakers failed to restructure. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to make details public.
President Barack Obama was announcing his plan on Monday. It includes government backing of warranties for GM and Chrysler vehicles to give consumers confidence in the U.S. automakers' cars and trucks.

Administration officials said Sunday that General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner was stepping down immediately at the request of the White House, a sign of major changes at the auto giant.
GM has already received $13.4 billion in government loans and Chrysler has survived on $4 billion in federal aid. The automakers have been hard hit by the economic downturn and the worst decline in auto sales in 27 years. In progress reports filed with the government in February, GM asked for $16.6 billion more and Chrysler wanted $5 billion more.
But the officials said the Obama plan would not go that far, providing short-term aid in exchange for significant sacrifices.
Fiat alliance?
The officials said the administration did not view Chrysler to be viable as a standalone company. Under the plan, the government would provide up to $6 billion to forge the alliance between Chrysler and Fiat, but if the companies failed to reach an agreement or find an alternative plan for viability, Chrysler would not receive additional federal aid.
Fiat executives have talked to the White House auto task force about a proposal to acquire a 35 percent stake in Chrysler in exchange for small car technology, transmissions and other items that Chrysler has valued at $8 billion to $10 billion.
General Motors, meanwhile, would have a limited window to work with the United Auto Workers union, bondholders and other stakeholders and would receive an undisclosed amount of "interim financing" over 60 days to restructure the company. The officials said the administration would determine how much GM would need in "permanent capital" during the 60-day period.
If GM failed to reach the concessions needed, some type of bankruptcy could be used at the end of 60 days, the officials said.
The administration planned to send a team to Detroit to help with the restructuring during the next 60 days. With Wagoner's departure, new management would be decided by General Motors' board of directors in consultation with the government. An official said a majority of the GM board was expected to step down.
Obama, in an interview with CBS' "Face the Nation" broadcast Sunday, said the companies must do more to receive additional financial aid from the government.
"We think we can have a successful U.S. auto industry. But it's got to be one that's realistically designed to weather this storm and to emerge — at the other end — much more lean, mean and competitive than it currently is," Obama said.
Sacrifices required
Obama said the government would require a "set of sacrifices from all parties involved, management, labor, shareholders, creditors, suppliers, dealers. Everybody's gonna have to come to the table and say it's important for us to take serious restructuring steps now in order to preserve a brighter future down the road."
Both companies are trying to reduce their debt by two-thirds and persuade the UAW to accept several cost-cutting measures.
Very little was being done in negotiations with debtholders and the union ahead of Obama's announcement, a person briefed on the GM talks said Sunday. This person did not want to be identified because the negotiations are private.
Under the terms of a loan agreement reached during the Bush administration, GM and Chrysler are pushing the UAW to accept shares of stock in exchange for half of the payments into a union-run trust fund for retiree health care. They also want labor costs from the union to be competitive with Japanese automakers with U.S. operations.
Neither GM nor Chrysler have deals with the union on the trust funding or concessions from their debtholders and the administration has been trying to accelerate those efforts.
GM and Chrysler, which employ about 140,000 workers in the U.S., face a Tuesday deadline to submit completed restructuring plans, but neither company is expected to finish its work. The administration's plan would be designed to accelerate those efforts.
GM owes roughly $28 billion to bondholders. Chrysler owes about $7 billion in first- and second-term debt, mainly to banks. GM owes about $20 billion to its retiree health care trust, while Chrysler owes $10.6 billion.
In February, GM said it intended to cut 47,000 jobs around the globe, or nearly 20 percent of its work force, close hundreds of dealerships and focus on four core brands — Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick.
Chrysler issued two scenarios in its February plan: one as a distinct company, and the second in an alliance with Fiat. Chrysler said in its February report that it would cut 3,000 workers and eliminate three vehicle models, the Dodge Aspen, Dodge Durango and Chrysler PT Cruiser.
