SR20 sputter???

so my friends motor makes a sputter sound around 5000 rpms. i heard its a common thing with sr motors. anyone know of this?? we've checked around and plugs look fine along with looking for anything loose... any info my way would be helpful... thanks....

what are your A/F ratios ? if your running to Rich It will make it sputter alot.

not sure about the a/f ratios, but you can tell its running rich cuz you can smell it a whole lot. but just found out this weekend that his o2 connector was never extended over. dont know if that will make any diff.
