alright so i want to connect my speed sensor back up to my car, but the previous owner cut the plugs on both ends of the sensor and the harness side. i was wondering if its still possible to connect the wires together with sodder and it still work? If so what wires am i using on the harness side? what colors?

It's been a while but you could re-wire it yourself like I did.

Its a really simple circuit. You could run 12V positive to one side of the sensor and the other side to the gauge, be sure to include a thingy I cant remember it's name to step the voltage down to 5V. This sensor produces a 12V square wave thats stepped down to 5V at the gauge.

Anyhow, if the harness is intact enough, wire in a new plug and the wire colors should involve a Yellow with Blue Stripe and an Yellow with Black stripe. Connect those two wires together on the lower harness to the VSS.

You're welcome BTW. I have been really nice today.
