having a problem with my 89 s13 bogging out at start up and bogging down to about 200 rpms for a second or so then it would rev back up everytime i step on the gas, seems like it only occurs when the motor isnt warmed up... im guessing the maf sensor?... also while driving today i lost a good amount of power and the car started sounding like a wrx, what is the most probable cause of one of the cylinders to not fire? keep this in mind that i just bought the car few days ago and have no idea whats been replace and what not. any help would be greatly appreciated

check your maf if not then look for places were it might be sucking up air it doesnt need, then check if your running on 3 or 2 or 1 cylinder hahaha to test that just pull the spark plug wires one by one while its running and listen for a difference as in struggling

yea did that and found out cylinder 1 isnt firing but its giving spark tho... so im wondering if it could be the injector?

Probably. Sounds exactly what happened to my motor. I checked each spark plug and the one that ran differently when I unplugged I replaced the injector on. It was on my 91 240 so my 96 maxima injector fit right in there. So I'd try that first. My KA24e was doing the same thing on my first cylinder and I thought it was the injector so I replaced and the motor still running horrible so I gotta run a compression test and figure out what I have to rebuild. But yea definately start with the injector and see where that takes you.

well the car finally came to a point that it didnt start, i towed it home and left it alone for a good 3 hours, came back home and tryed to start it again and it started but ofcourse it was bogging out, finally got it to idle on its own but everytime id rev it the motor would bog with gas smoke coming out the exhaust so would it be that my ecu is acting up and dumping too much gas this whole time??? btw thanks for the info rocksteady

did you replace that injector on cyl 1? the computer might be trying to compensate for a really lean cylinder one by adding more fuel on 2-4
