Im going to japan this summer for 2 weeks with a lady friend but havent decided the locale. We want to go somewhere that is not not over the top sensory overload (Tokyo) but is more chill and natural. What cities did you guys like?
Also, were planning to rent a car for a week of that time and take it up to the mountains and to several cities. The best car i have been able to find is a Skyline 350gt and fairlady z, which was from Nissan Rentacar. Are there any companies that actually rent silvias, r-34's and the like? Thanks

if you want chill or natural...head south. I stayed in oita/beppu for 9 days. was really nice...plus up in fukuoka you can hang out with the local drift fucks.

Go to Miyazaki-ken, Miyazaki-shi if you want chill and stuff... It's the home of Japanese mythology and some other cool shit. It also used to be the home of that giant indoor beach but it closed in 2004...

Not one of the thousands of people on this site have ever been to Japan before.
Ever.
In fact, I heard Japan actually sunk into the ocean thousands of years ago.
