General question, I tried searching it but going through all of the threads I didnt see anything that will help me.
My car has been sitting all winter so I decided to start my car and let it idle for a little bit so I can change my oil and check for leaks. When draining the oil I have found drops of coolant. If anyone can tell me what that means and how I can fix it that would be great. Im pretty much a DIYer
I have a redtop sr20det pretty much stock if that helps. Thanks

I searched coolant leak coolant/oil different versions with headgasket oil and coolant to have a broad search but what came up was build threads. Anyway yea it sucks I was supposed to have an exedy clutch, nismo mounts cometic hg negative on everything. What's the point of being dishonest? It's not like we wouldn't know where you work/live face etc

Wait you found coolant where?!?! Obviously its not in the oil pan when you drained the oil. It wouldnt even look like coolant if it came out with your oil pan. Im guessing you found it outside the engine. Im willing to bet you got a leak from one of the turbo water lines.

Umm...if its leaking from the front of the block underneat the head, how can that be coolant. Theres no coolant jackets up front...If anything would leak up front between the head and the oil pump cover, it would be oil. Can it be leaking from the water pump???

yea if it looks like its coming from the front check under the water pump there is a little weep hole. if its coming from there time for a new water pump

if its coming from the front of the block like you said, you may need to get a new waterpump, resealing won't cut it. Like the silEighty said, there's a weep hole for when the pump is bad.

Changed the waterpump BINGO! Thank you everyone. I then changed the headgasket, drove it for 500miles then checked the oil, everything looks good soo far. Thank everyone, I would have never of thought it was the water pump. Im very new at motors and I only learn by trial/error.
