Hey guys,

First off my setup is:
Stock KA24DE
SR T28
370CC
walbro 255
N62 Maf

I was in the process of tuning my car yesterday and my tuner who is local was having problems with my car.

He told me the car would run rich at idle or cruise and run lean once the car hits boost. He said he the car would not respond to any changes he made to the ecu. Could this be a grounding issue? or bad ecu issue?

However the main problem is at full throttle the car would not rev past 4800 rpms. What could be causing this?

I also have a SAFC installed while he was tuning the car. Next time i go there should i uninstall the SAFC? Because i think its causing problems with the ecu.

Also, Is the sr t28 turbo on a stock ka24de supposed to pull hard until 5 rpm then fall flat on its face at full throttle? Or should it rev all the way to redline?

Any suggestions would be awesome because we are going to try again on next weekend if weather permits and i want ideas to see what could be causing my problems.

What kind of tuning is being done to the ECU? Are you running a chipped EPROM, or something else?

its being tuned by chipped eprom. a safc is currently wired into the car.

my main concern is if this is normal. Is the sr t28 turbo on a stock ka24de supposed to pull hard until 5 rpm then fall flat on its face at full throttle? Or should it rev all the way to redline?

can anyone suggest a possible cause?

Yes, you should pull to redline.

Take off the safc. Im surprised your tuner didnt suggest it.

pulls all the way, mine does run rich at idle, with a enthalpy tuned ecu, do you have your maf installed right? as in a good second ground for it, mine acted up like this with me n62 maf until i regrounded it. Also is your ecu tuned for the maf, or did you just modify the signal with the safc to accept it. if you did the latter, i've noticed it doesn't like to run well with it, even if you have all of the settings right. Take off the safc and see if that helps any.

yea the maf is ground to the harness and chassis. i did have to modify the safc to accept the maf signal. we are going to take off the safc when i go for a retune this weekend and hopefully it would fix everything.
