I want to know what is the easiest way to swap a na z32 vlsd into my 90 s-chassis. I have read all the tech posts from ka development to importnut and many other posts on other forums and also this forum and they never tell you exactly what to do they just give suggestions. I am going to be using NA z32 rear hubs/e-brake assembly to go 5-lug and want to know what exactly to get. BTW i am getting the axles also.

importnuts write up seem pretty straight forward to me. you can either swap to a 6 bolt pattern VLSD output shaft to fit your stock axles, or swap to a 5 bolt axle(either JDM or J30 axle) to fit the Z32 output shaft.

Well, its a rather simple two-step process.

-Remove old parts.
-Install new parts.

See how simple that was?

here's my two cents.

unless you find a super low mileage z32, the vlsd is going to be poo poo and worn.

or unless you get one for cheap. but whatever.

do what sinistersentra91 is doing to his S14 and modify your subframe to accept a G35 VLSD.

As Var said, "A VLSD is like taking a bag, filling it with shit, and shoving output shafts in it."

Don't waste your time.

Now that I've re-read your post...
You already said you're getting the axles, the hubs, the ebrake parts (get the rotors and calipers too if you don't have them already), and the diff... Seems like you got everything you need.
I *think* NA Z32's use the same style pumpkin as the S14, so it would have those retarded big earlobes on the front mounting point, so if that's case, you'd need new bushings... Aside from that, I think you got it covered. Just slap your S13 diff cover on the Z32 pumpkin.

Oh, if you wanna use the Z's aluminum uprights, you'll need a pair of conical ball joint spacers, and either Z32 rear shocks or Z32 rear shock mount brackets for coilovers.

There. I hope this post has been more helpful than my last. If not, fuck it. lol

EDIT: The Z32 axles probably won't work. 5-bolt J30 axles will, me thinks.

well if you shim the vlsd it will lock up without having to have excessive slip to lock up the rear end(will engage lock-up sooner)

it will act like a 1.5 diff

Seriously? lol

Anywho, a quick google image search turned up this pic:

The coils on the far left and far right have Z32 lower mounts.
KTS, Stance, Megan, and several other companies sell the Z32 lower mounts separately for S13 coilovers.
