i need to know what offset and size rims to get. i just got sum r32 front brakes and rotors from a gts and to what i know they are the same as z32's. now i just found out last week that you can use 15's with z32 brakes. thanks dousan ! well i am planning on getting coilovers and i was wondering what size and offset should i get if i were to go with 15's,16's, or 17's ? i just want to make sure before i buy sum rims next weekend. basically all i need to know is what is the lowest offset and size for 15x_?16x_? and 17x_? like i think dousan has 15x7 with a +27 offset. so can i go with sumthing like 15x7 +30 or does it go lower ? thanks for all of your guy's help and info. also my rears will most likely stay stock 240 brakes and i am going to stay with four lug.

my 15x7 +27 is because of spoke design
before you make your mind, you need to find WHAT WHEELS YOU WANT first. because spoke design has a huge roll in wheel clearance w/ brakes.

Wow you sure sound confused. At one point I was this confused when it came to wheels and tires. Here are a couple of pointers.
1. Brake clearence is not just because of diameter but also spoke design and offset. So I'm sure you could even clear brakes with freakin 14's if you had the right spoke design and a low offset. But that was just an example.
2. Don't get some pizza cutter 7inchers. I would get 8 inch or wider.
3. Also Please specify tire sizes you want to use.
4. Choosing offset isn't really easy to do untill you know exactly what size of wheel you want and also the tire to run.
5. Do you plan to run camber or have camber plates?
I could go on and on. The whole wheels and tire thing is more more complicated when you think abou tit.

totally agree with dousan...
-but i do know the stock s13 se rims will clear most coilovers and z32 brakes witha 10 mm spacer

ahh so much i need to know. what the biggest size for clearance on the front and rear ? cuz if i can id like 15x7 or 8 in front and if possible 15x8 or 9 rear. same would go with 16's. i am going to use camber plates and spacers if i had to but i heard that spacers wear out your wheel bearings faster. tire size i am also not sure yet. got to get back to you on that one. gotta do sum searchin! brb.

wont wear out your bearings
widest for s13 easiset is 8s fronts 9s back. neg camber is your call depending how well it clears.
oh you can put 9 front. r33 gtr wheels. 17x9 +30.clears all and some neg camber required too iirc.

You have much to learn my friend. (Wow that must sound weird comming from me.) Don't rush your wheels and tire choice. Do your research and do it right the first time. If you plan on rotating tires don't run a stagered set up. You'll be swapin tires left and right. But you gotta pay to play. So I wouldn't rush your choice only to get your wheels within that certain time frame you mentioned. I'm also sure for what you looking for you may have to wait since most wheels these days are fwd offset and what you need has to special ordred. Your best bet is get what is right and do not run spacers. no Spacers! no spacers! ah **** I got a 5mm on my front. :(

Hey! get wheels from skyline to garuntee clearance! heh. i kno my R33 GTR's clear. (barely clear coilovers (most) w/o spacer, so i have 215/45/17's to eliminate tire bulge).

Damn, hope you did not pay a premium for the R32 brakes if they are the same as the Z32's. That would suck. :(

Oh yeah being that your also 4 lug let me say:::::
GOOD LUCK FINDING EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED
being that finding wide, low/lower offset, large selection of wheels is very hard in the 4 lug aplication

yea i still might do the 5-lug thing but not sure yet. as for rims i am planning on having at least 2 sets one for daily drive and one for track use. and for the r32 brakes they came with project mu rotors & pads for $200. the price seems decent. well im still doin sum searchin on exact rims and tires so ill get back to you guys and you can give me sum info if they are coo or not. im in no rush cuz jus like nitekids said i wanna do it right the first time and spacers are jus if i really like the rims and they are a for a good price. so ill brb :D

ok wut about this. 16x7 +38 front/16x7.5 +32 rear ? and would 16x7 +0 or 15x7 + 20 fin in the rear or front ? and also wut about 15x7 +11 front and 15x7.5 +17 rear ? will these clear z brakes front, stocks rear and coilovers ? by the way these are all mesh. thanks again for all the help and info

... ok, use the search function, find out the correct offset (any width) for flush wheels on a s13 (i've seen two or three posts with this info the last couple days)
then, my favorite website reguarding wheels =)
http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html
calculate the needed offset for flush wheels for the width you want.
or if you want to be cool super hardcore drift style like aaron you can just get the lowest offset rims you can find and set maad negative camber front and back=p
Z brakes complicate things, i haven't seen a drori-mesh wheel that will clear Z/gtr brakes without a thick wheel spacer, most small diameter dori rims don't clear.
coilovers on the other hand isn't a problem (again, find out what width + offset wheel clears coils, and use the website above)
hope that helps,

As a general: No "old school" mesh wheels will clear z32/r32 brakes without spacers. This is where curved spoke design has a large roll in brake clearance over offset.flat-spoked wheels (like mesh especially) have very little clearance.
