So I recently purchased something on eBay and I used PayPal for my payment method. But it turns out, that PayPal withdrew the funds from the wrong account. Since PayPal withdrew from the wrong account, I now have an overdraft fee.
My eBay /PayPal automatic payment method is the correct account, but they withdrew from one of my other accounts.
On my PayPal receipt, it did not say with bank account they withdrew from, so I had no idea until I checked my statements.
If PayPal doesn't resolve this, I'm willing to take this to the Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. Are there any other Bureau's I can take this to?
Has anyone else had any similar problems with PayPal?

"According to the San Francisco Chronicle, there are approx. 100,000 complaints outstanding at PayPal."

Even if all the complaints were only $20, that'll still come out to $2Mill.
My Overdraft charge was more than $20

User error. If you have the receipt and you truly selected a different account and they messed up on their end, they should have no problem refunding you any fees incurred from both sides.

Yea, there is always the default account, which is ussually the first bank account you put on there. You need to choose your payment account. They are not at fault, you are for not paying attention.

i've never had a problem with paypal in 5 years. if you have the time to go to the attorney general, you could just go to work for an extra 2 hours and pay off the overdraft fee.

It didn't let me choose, there was the account I wanted to use, and my default account. It also said that if there weren't sufficient funds, then it would withdraw from my default account. (The account I wanted to use had sufficient funds)
Paypal said that they would pay for half. Its just a matter of principle, if I let them go now, then who knows what kinda shit they might try and pull on me in the future.
I went to the bank, but they said they can't do anything about the overdraft fee, figures.
I've been using paypal for 5 years now, and this is the first problem I've had with them.

Ive never had any "real" problems with paypal other than not being able to bypass the money in my paypal account and draw directly from my bank account. And the fact that when they take money its gone in a day but when I want to put money in my paypla account it TAKES FOR FUCKING EVER!
other than that its ok.............

i've had the same exact problem before.
i had my bank account"verified" as my default source.
but i had to make a purchase one day and i wanted to use my credit card.
my credit card had plenty of moeny on it.
but for SOME REASON even though i told paypal to use my credit card, they took from my bank account. which resulted in my account being overdrawn.
long story short, paypal gave me the run around. and i jsut ate the 100+ dollar overdraft fees. i then took all of my bank info and credit card info OFF of paypal. and manually put in the info when i need that. that way they dont dick me around.
