Ok well this has been happening for quite sometime now, i thought my car just needed a tune-up because its been awhile since i did maintenance including oil change.

So recently i did a tune up on my car, beside spark plugs because its only been roughly no more than 10,xxx miles since ive changed it.

Did the whole motor flush, new oil pan, new gasket, lucas stabilizer and mobil one oil and filter, injector cleaner, ZX TT fuel filter, then i took it out on the freeway after i finished everything.

So while i was driving, i notice the car still sputters @ around 2000-3000 rpm then it'll jst continue till 7500. Not bad of a sputter but you can feel the car as if it was getting fuel cut off to it then on right away when im flooring it, i can feel it in every gear maybe not first or second, but third i can definately feel it and so does 4th and 5th gear.

the car idles @ 1000 rpm, i guess i just have to adjust the TPS or IACV. but besides that, what could be the problem? injectors goin bad? or maybe get it timed?

MODS:
S13 N/A SR20DE
SR20DET stock intake manifold
370cc DET fuel rails and injectors
255 walbro fuel pump> less than 1500 miles
gutted cat
2 1/2 piping> greddy evo 2 exhaust.

Thanks in advance.

What plugs do you have? I was having the same problem, kinda. When it would sit and idle for more than a couple minutes at a time it would start sputtering and not want to rev. My solution was cleaning the MAF and I replaced the cap/rotor, plugs, and wires. It idles smooth as silk now and revs perfectly. You need to set your timing to ~15deg BTDC(mine is 17 on 93 octane) and your idle to 850rpm. I also use BKR6E-11 plugs, if your using to cold of plugs it will foul out. Try making a WOT run and immediately shut the car off and pull the plugs, if they're black then your running rich and that could be the cause of your problem also.

i got stock plug wires, but come to think about, i dont think i ever changed the sparkplugs since i got, about 2 years ago. but i change the rotor but not cap.

i guess check those out. thanks.
