Clutch slipping/not engaging right need advice

Ok so I bought a good condition used hyper single. It is pretty nice and beter condition the my HKS was when I got it. I installed everything rgiht. I finally got to drive the car after finishing the assembly today and was struck with confusion.

The clutch didnt engage until it was basically 100% out. On top of that, it slipped so bad I stopped driving it. I called and talked to someone legit and he told me to adjust the clutch pedal. I have no goten it to the point where if I make the bolt any looser it will fall out. It helped alot but the FSM says the pedal to floor distance should be somwhere between 7.5?-7.9? inches. Mine is basically 7.

When I installed the slave it was hell. I had to do my damndest to get it on, releasing the fluid in it and still had trouble. I remember reading about people cutting the pins on the slave for some reason and I think this is why. My slave is brand new and works fine but I think the pin is a little too long and the clutch is just fine but I cant seem to figure it out.

We bled the system good today and it helped but not good to drive on the main road. I am going to bleed again tomorow and if that doesnt work I am cutting the pin shorter slightly to try and get it working. I have spare slaves with pins so its no concern to hack one.

Does anyone have advice on this of have had this problem befor?

The person whom told you to adjust the clutch pedal is correct. Check the Manual for your car to locate the adjustment. I had this same exact problem, and making the clutch pedal super soft/loose solved it. Make it super soft and it will build pressure and return to stock feel over 1 weeks time.

Don't drive your car as-is until the clutch pedal is adjusted or you will overheat and damage your clutch.

yeah, you should be able to push the piston back into the slave about a quarter inch. if you can't push it at all, then you need to adjust your clutch pedal so that there's some slop in the pedal before it actually starts moving fluid, not tightening it up. basically i think you have it too tight and it's half way pressing on the fingers of the flywheel, thus cauing your clutch to slip.

if you cannot push on the fork against the slave cylinder and push the piston of the slave cylinder in at least 1/8" after giving the pedal some slack then you need to replace your clutch master cylinder.

Zu can you explaionj that a littel better. I have the clutch pedal to its absolute loosest. The next step is letting the pedal sit against the bracket the bolt is so loose. Yet it still doesnt work. So were gona bleed again. Cut the pin. and if all els fails. Start replacing things one by one. The springs on the clutch disk go into the presure plate correct?

instead of the adjustment screw almost falling out of the little u shaped bracket that is on the pedal, the adjustment screw needs to be threaded DEEPLY into the u shaped bracket...is that what ur asking?

i'm unsure what u want me to elaborate on?

As in tighter? I had originally adjusted my clutch pedal on my old clutch to get rid of the looseness and it felt much better. So I need to turnt he screw in farther? As in towards the pedal/floor not out towards the dash?

I am having the same problem with mine, but I have the stainless steel braided line and my clutch is doing the exact same thing. Any idea's. I have already tried adjusting the clutch pedal both ways, and nothing.

9/10 its getting the air out. Easily a two man job.

Make sure there is not air in the master too, thats a biatch.

Then adjust the pedal and you are rock and roll.

it will not "get better over time" it is an absolute issue, either air is out, or it is not.

I tried that already and it didn't work. There is some noise in the clutch area like a rattle or hopping noise when letting out the clutch pedal. Could something have loosened up, I installed a new complete clutch kit (clutch, pressure plate, pilote and throug out bearing).
