Sometimes I notice when popping my hood I see around the radiator cap on top white dried stuff almost like water spots on your car. My first thought is coolant, but why on top of the cap. I do have a cap meant for a z32 but it's the type that has this little metal thing on top looks like a nail head in size. It actually moves. I wonder if coolant is coming through that, if it acts like a pressure release?
Wondering if I should buy an aftermarket 1.1 cap like mishimoto hks or something where the top isn't like the autozone special I got
thanks for suggestions

Maybe you got a leak around the neck?

only thing is how it's getting on top of the cap,, I do see it on other things like intake somtimes..but 9/10 times the cap is what it's own.

z32 cap is a 1.4bar, as good as any. How old is the cap? I don't think the rivet is supposed to move. I found the safe-T caps with the red lever lasts longer then the rivet cap.

I thought it was 1.1 cause I remember I wanted to try that than 1.3 because it was less pressure.

Yup. Cheap, easy fix - your cap is letting out a tiny bit of steam, which then cools, and the coolant "residue" is what you see.
