i keep blowing up the fuse!!!!!!

alright guys, just for the past couple days ive had a sudden issue with my "ign sw" fuse in the engine bay. Whenever i have the fuse for the "pw windows", i go to start the car and "BAMMMMMMM". ign sw 30a fuse goes out. Anytime that the pw windows fuse isnt intact, it will start up fine. Where is my problem?


recent mods: hids, just plug and play.
I didnt do anything else.

your problem is that you have a short.

no simple fix other than getting off your ass and searching for a wiring problem.

well, i know i have a short. but any idea where it may a bad connection? at least it would prevent my wasting most of my time to look if someone can help. thats what these forums are for right?

Well you could start by finding where the short is at...you say that when you plug in your window your amp goes right. Well start from the window and work your way back...if you need a schematic go download one from online. It really helps out. Rather than having to wire chase everthing.

there is no such thing as a shortcut. go look, thats the only way about it

with that grey ign fuse it could be a lot of things.
could be one of your dome lights shorted or something on your trunk like wiper.

could be your seatbelt. i forget what else uses that fuse. its not only for ignition.

unplug stuff and replug them back in one by one and see what pops ur fuse.
