I'm trying to remove the stock shifter assembly on my 90 240sx to install a short shifter. I've already jacked up the front of the car as high as I could. I already removed the 4 accessible bolts, but I can't get to the other 2 bolts. Am I suppose to unbolt something from under the car? I'm stumped.help anyone. Thanks

Ratchet wrench. The forward bolts are accessible from underneath using one. Or, unbolt the transmission mount and lower the tail end a little with a jack.

That seems like a PITA, I don't understand why some DIY's say to jack up the front of the car to access those bolt. In which I did, and made no difference at all.

Which would way would be easier to access those 2 bolts?

They say jack up the front of the car so you can reach the most forward two from underneath.
