how many of you own both a 240 and a honda, and mod them both?

thought of this thread while going through the honda civic thread, going pretty long. im know im not the only one. i actually had a prelude first, then the 240 (which i got when i originally planned on getting an EG) and then almost 2 yrs ago picked up this shell from a hippie for $300. it started with a blown cx motor, which i swapped to a fully built (for boost) D16z (picked up for $500, w/o trans) was planning on going through with the turbo but it being my gf's car i opted for an n/a H swap which i got lucky through a friend and got an awesome deal on (and also was able to sell the D16+trans for $1000)
its (actually my gf's, she buys everything, i install) a 93 CX hatch, H22 swapped. has ebay ceramic header, AEM hybrid 3" H22 eg swap intake, re chipped ecu, 2.5" exhaust with Tanabe Titanium muffler. with that setup last summer did [email protected] pretty consistant, on all weather street tires. this summers setup should be into the 12s (cams, valves, springs, retainers). maybe mid to low with slicks. been also toying with the idea of throwing on a 65 shot of nitrous to surprise people but havent found a kit that i like in the price range i like to pull the trigger just yet.

funny because on here everybody always bashes hondas, and over on honda forums they bash on everything. i kinda get offended when people bad mouth honda owners because i am one. not one of the dumb asses that you all refer to though. i feel mine is tastefully modded and i dont drive like a prick.

only thing that sucks... is having 2 project cars at the same time. talk about money pit! espeically when one is an RB25det swap! dont do it unless your a baller (which im not, but dont fully regret

I have 95 EG & a 96 S14. Both are pieces of shit, and the civic does not run.

It's silly that you let yourself get offended by ppl that don't like hondas.
They just have a universally accepted bad-rep, considering so many ricers, street racers, and other miscellaneous ne'er-do-wells coincidentally use them.
Still that's nothing compared to the attention you get from thieves, police, ppl who try to race you.
It's just one of the accepted quirks of honda ownership.

Girl has a '96 Acura 2.5L TL. I do all the maintenance on it and pretty much drive it more than she does so it almost feels mine, but I'm glad it's not. I despise the way it feels. The 5 Cyl. engine it has is a joke. If it were the 3.2L model I would probably enjoy it more, but as of now we're trying to sell it and get her a Mini :D

Oh and was thinking of modding it. I had plans for a few suspension add-ons and wheels, but wasn't worth it.

Civic can lick my nuts. Not putting a cent into that thing that i dont have to, unless really good deals come up. I'd rather buy tires and other shit for my jzx.

But I would like to fab seat brackets to put my spare recaro SRD in there (stock seat sucks), get some cheap lowering springs for it, ctr front lip and some sort of oem alloys (SIR, gsr blades). Only problem with those is honda guys seem to think oem wheels are worth 3-500$. F that.

S14 is heavily modified, and my prelude used to be but has recently been returned mostly to stock. Just springs/struts, OEM kit, JDM fogs, intake, etc.

i kinda miss my 97 ex. but i love my E30 too much to get rid of it. its a pile, but i hope to change that in the next couple years. i dont know too many people around here that DD a 22 year old car. lol.
