Well, I am a HUGE fan of Conan O'Brien and watched the late night show as often as I could. I decided to watch late night tonight since Jimmy Fallen's first show was tonight. I thought he was alright on SNL, but his acting got kind of annoying and repetitive.

I have to say, I was not impressed at all. I didn't like the set, I didn't like the band, I didn't like the opening skits, and even the interviews. I loved Conan for his opening skits; I think that's what made the show (Chuck Norris lever). All the interviews seemed like they were pre-rehearsed. Jimmy has some big shoes to fill. Can't wait to see Conan on the Tonight Show.

Well the first show should be really spectacular. First impressions are huge.

I mean, they had a skit called "Lick something for $10." Seriously? They brought out a lawnmoer, a damn scanner, and a fish bowl... OH NOES I'M TOO SCARED TO LICK THIS... It was stupid.

i hate Jimmy Fallon, he a fucking hack

He's a tool...

Yeah, he was horrible.

I think Fallon will be okay. At least he has The Roots.

Yeah, I'll give him a chance just because he's new.

Hopefully, once he settles in, it'll be good to go.

If not, screw Jimmy Fallen for destroying the Conan Empire.

Fallen said he's going to start doing gaming and tech news during the show. That's pretty cool I thought.

The dudes actually pretty techy. I've seen him on some online tech shows. I think he'll be ok.

I don't mind him, but I did love Conan. Conan was better than Leno and anyone else on the air. At least he's not gone. We'll see how Fallon does though.

His ratings were in the shiter for the first 3yrs. I think Howard Stern was the only one that gave him a positive review for that time period also. All the critics didn't know who he was and ripped him apart.

I trust Lorne Michaels knows what he is doing. It takes a long time to build a fan base. I don't expect to be amazed on the first episode. But, people expected the economy to be fixed and the wars over the day after obama was inaugurated. Doesn't surprise me that they expect a day one show to be as refined as a 2,725 episode show.

The difference, the big difference............the motherfucking HUGE difference between Fallon and Conan is if you take away the fan base, the experience, the show and everything; is Fallon is not as funny as Conan.

He will get more relaxed, more known, and more comfortable but he just won't get funnier.

You don't like The Roots!? WTF. I don't even know how he was able to pull that off (having them as the house band). The set looks nice. Conan's going to be getting a new set too, wonder how that's going to look like.

Conan wasn't great when he started out either, he mentioned this during his last week. It was rough in the beginning and they wanted to cancel him at times. it took a long time for him to develop his own style and rhythm, and its going to be the same for Fallon. Remember Conan had to fill some big shoes too. He was replacing Letterman, and he acknowledged that Letterman set the bar really high for him and he still has mad respect for him.

wowza...the THIRD time i've been in agreement with Brian...weird.

but yeah, Jimmy Fallon is about as funny as someone's parent's funeral.

However, +1 for the Roots being the in house band.

Yeah, there is a big difference between Conan and Fallon. Even though Conan sucked when he started (if you watch the early interviews they were PAINFUL), I mean he was a writer on the simpsons and SNL when it was kinda good so you know he had the chops to be funny. He wrote the freakin monorail episode of the simpsons. That one episode was better than everything Fallon has done combined.

I hope Fallon has a really good team behind him. It's kinda cool seeing the roots every night.

A complete fail on NBC's behalf picking Jimmy Fallon for the late show. I didnt laugh once, all his jokes are lame and so is he. Chris Kattan would have been a wayyy better host for the late show imo.

Someone should get a petition going and get Jimmy off the show... SERIOUSLY the guy SUCKS!!!

Another awesome host would have been Tina Fey. She is such an awesome writer. I love 30 Rock.

I'm finna watch it again tonight and see if it gets any better. He does have a lot of good stars coming on his show.

Chris Kattan posesses a level of fail equal to that of Jimmy Fallon's. In other words, they both fucking suck

Last Night's was exponentially better than the first show.

He may not be funny but that's what writers are for.

No one will ever match Craig Ferguson.

He's getting more relaxed with each episode. I liked ?uestlove's response to the bromance part last night. haha.

And if you haven't seen it- The Roots slow jamming the news:

I just saw the one last night and I was not a bit impressed at all. Awkward looking set and didn't like the band. His jokes SUCKED. I somehow got through the whole show though. Perhaps I wanted to see how much lamer he can get. I'm definitely not staying up for his show. I cant wait to see CONEZY!!

The Putt Putt bit was lame. I didn't find any part of it funny at all. The flashback dude was a better actor than Jimmy.
