So its come down to what I should designate as a daily driver. 2 things come into play, salt/rust and theives.

I have an s14, and a 98 civic coupe. The civic is all mugen'd up, pretty much a finished project, however I havent driven the car in about 6 months due to snow. I also can not park the car in public due to the large population of honda theives here.

The S14 is starting to take alot of my money. I just dropped about $1500 in 5speed swap parts, and will have much more potental than the civic from what I can see. However its getting some frame rust from being DD'd durring the winters- the civic hasnt seen snow, and hasnt a drop of rust on any part of the chassis, not even the brake rotors - its garaged full time.

Should I put the civic back to stock and daily drive it and put the 240 in the garage full time?

I find Im starting to cherish the 240 more as I still cant find a clean one for sale within 500 miles.

Agreed, don't spend much more on the S14. Or find another beater. The civic sounds like it's in good condition, and will bring some good money in a few years. Same for the S14.

Sell all your mugen parts and what not so you can moar money to put into your s14. It's time to start a new project, since your civic seems to be a done deal as a project.

part out your civic and sell it. a 11 years old civic for garage queen does not make too much finical sense. sell it before it get stolen

neither are a good idea if you have a lot of thieves in your area.
It's not like 240's don't get stolen these days.
I don't see how the civic would be more vulnerable to rust than the S14, and vice versa.

I say sell/part them both and just get a new car and be done with it.
some new car deals out there are looking pretty good. it's a great time to buy/lease.
it's also a good time to sell, if you have something fuel efficient and practical like the civic.

garage queen civic

not worth it

sell parts

garage queen a car that actually has some importance

keep driving the 240 who gives a shit about rust unless you plan on keeping it for the rest of your life

just maintain it and you'll be fine with the snow

Why are you modding your s14 at all if it's supposed to be a DD?

keep the civic the way it is and continue to beat on the s14.

Lol there's nothing wrong with modding a DD long as you use common sense.

At this point I'd trade my 240 for a super clean black CRX.

If it were up to me, and this is what I'm doing now...

-keep civic stock(or revert it) for daily, enjoy 35-40mpg and worry free daily
-mod the s14, because in the end, I believe you can get WAY more enjoyment out of an FR platform, plus when it breaks you can just drive your stock civic with no worries.

all these damn honda threads are giving me 'seller's remorse' (if there is such a thing),
for getting rid of my crx si a few months back.
the stupid owner i sold it to got it stolen too, so I can't buy it back.
