Anyone know anything about doing a R33 T28 on a top mount exhaust manifold on a SR20DET? Any problems when it comes to mounting this?

should work out fine with that sweet t3 back housing.
should be good for 300whp
add an external wastegate also and weld up the old flap.
your good to go.
Rb25/20 = t3 housing
Rb26= T28 housing
Either turbo is a bad upgrade.

Well you see I already have the turbo laying around and temporarily using this frees up extra funds to finish off everything else. I'll be going with a Peak boost top mount mani so just wanted to make sure that there wouldn't be any fitment issues.

i would only use the Rb25 turbo as a bolt on upgrade with the stock manifold . ( only for skyline )
if you are going to upgrade your SR with a top mount manifold , forget about a stock Rb25 turbo . what i would do is take the turbo to your nearest turbo rebuilders and get them to make a t3/t4 for you. works well on SR , i've seen it been done

It's a goofy turbo and there will be fitment issues and even more trouble finding the correct size banjo fittings to hook up the coolant and oil lines.
Plus it has the weird 6-bolt flange on the turbine exit.
More trouble than it's worth.

Hmm I will be getting steel braided turbo lines. I got the turbo in my possession and things are tight money wise and want to be able to at least drive my car until I get some spare cash for a gt2876r.
The only part that has me stuck is how I would go about doing the elbow coming off of the turbine side.
Would it be easier just to temp. run a bottom mount manifold for the time being till i save up more cash in a few months time. I'd be able to get one for fairly cheap off of someone I know. THoughts?

Bump.
After some thought If I am running braided steel lines for the oil/coolant and an external waste gate then the only part that will be fun is routing it out the exhaust side?
I just want to run this turbo seeing as i already have it in my possession and money is tight right now seeing as I am putting together a huge build withing a few months. I will be running a GT2871r .64 after.
