Can someone with knowledge on connecting rods break down the differeneces between H, I and X beam rods, advantages.
Also what's recommended (Manley, Eagle, Brian Crower) for what HP, also I was told by a shop locally that Eagle H beams are good to 500hp.
Any help would be great.

I talked to eagle a while ago and they have upgraded the con rods bolts so now they are able to hold up to 900+ hp,
I forgot the size though to look for, give them a shout
I'm also running their Con rods. holding up 2+ years I like'em

The regular H beam connecting rods ? Like these or a different part number:
Eagle CRS5365N3D SR20 SR20DET Chromoly Forged Rods (http://www.frsport.com/Eagle-CRS5365N3D-SR20-SR20DET-Chromoly-Forged-Rods_p_1367.html)
Thanks for the info, thats good to know, when building a 400-450hp engine I rather use 600hp + capable connecting rods that 500hp max you know.

get a set of carillo rods with CARR bolts and call it a day.
first of all what is the intended use for the car? that question will dictate your rod choice more then how much hp it can hold. you can really judge a rod by the hp "capability." on a full out racin motor with high comp and revving close to 10,000rpm and making only about 250hp will have more rod loads then a motor making 450hp that is daily driven and barely see over 6000rpm if at all.
here is a good discussion i was a part of on SF about rods and just general discussions on them.
read it and then PM me if you have any more questions.
