I have a 91 240sx hatchback and I'm installing a 10in sub box in the back of my 240 and was wondering if it's ok to mount it to the strut tower bar on the top and to the trunk floor on the bottom? My back speakers haven't moved despite my driving (I don't like slowing down for corners) so I figure the strut tower bar would be a perfect spot for the sub box. Thanks in advance. or if anyone else has any ideas that would be great.

Thats how I had my old sub mounted in my other car. Worked out just fine, didnt wiggle around at all... Just make sure you you use "L" brackets for the bottom that arent gonna bend around, or just use some zip ties lol

Thats the setup I was running for a while, it sounded like garbage from pointing straight up at the privacy cover though. Otherwise it was fine.

O so you recommend taking the privacy cover down when driving for the hatchback type boxes? I have a blanket covering my speakers and no back seat for speaker, amp and weight trade off purposes so moving the privacy cover before driving is no biggy. So the strut tower bar works good? yea I used L brackets for my two 6x9s, 2 little wall holding ones each and they are holdin good.
