what year is your vehicle?
Ca - 89 to 90
Sr - 91+
Its alot easier to swap the correct motor in. Also, the CA, just fyi, has a much smaller aftermarket, so the final cost of a 300hp ca and sr will be roughly the same.

SR has a higher aftermarket support. CA is somewhat a Dinosaur motor, and there isn't a lot of tuning products for it compared to the SR. Both are very capable motors, just depends how hard you want to search/ spend on aftermarket parts.

Funny thing..
North America was the only S-Chassis market to be saddled with a lack of options, in that we ONLY got the KA engines.
Funny thing, though.
The expansion of the S-Chassis market was expanded and lived on a direct parallel line with that of the internet... Funny thing about this growth has allowed for the fact that for what is now almost 20 years, people have been swapping engines.
For the last 10 or so, people have had EASY access to the internet.
For the last 6-7 or so, broadband access has made the internet FAST.
For the last 5-6 or so, Forums have been the weapon du jour for seekers of information.
Zilvia came into existence DURING the time named in the last 2 points.
Before that, came the assholish abuse of the anonymity of the internets in general.
Adding those ideas together came the animal we know as "flaming"
Asking questions that HAVE been asked before, hundreds of times, brings on MORE flaming...
... which is why moderators exist.
What comes on the other side of it?
Thanks for asking:
Let me google that for you (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=ca+OR+sr+ENGINE)
