I have noticed more and more that when you search something, you get a ton of "go search" threads, where there are not actually answers, just people telling the op to go search. I know there are answers to literally every question out there, it just seems to be getting more and more difficult to find due to this clutter.
I think if we had a tech section, and a tech questions section, or something to that effect, where people could go to the tech section, and search without having to sift through unanswered questions, that might help. And if there is a question posted in the tech questions section that gets some good answers, it can be moved into tech, where people could also post how to's.
Personnaly, I dont have any issues with the search function now, but I also am very familiar with the system, and have been around long enough that I don't really have many questions that have already been covered anyhow (despite my recent help me post), but its just something Ive noticed.
Figured Id throw that out there.

Yup, I search and search to find more "go search noob" answers. They are fucking annoying. That makes it insanely difficult of find anything.

I think more threads have to be added to the Archive and FAQ's

And the clutter is due to lazy noobs who don't want to do any work. If they had searched to begin with (not just Zilvia, but other forums, google, yahoo etc) there wouldn't be all that shit to sift through. If you notice, a lot of the things that are asked are common problems. Ohhh, I can't pass smog, oh my lights don't work, oh no i hear a funny sound, what could cause large amouts of smoke to come from my exhaust etc etc. Half of these people can't even post their question in the right place.
I guess you missed it, but there is a Tech section. http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/
All that area needs is a good cleaning and some updating. Just like the questions people post, this isn't something that hasn't been brought up before.

There's really a tech section? seriously. I didn't fuckin know that. I guess reading comprehension is not one of your strong points, as my suggestion was to divide the tech into questions and answers. The whole post was about the clutter, and getting it cleaned up..., and my suggestion was that since we will always have dumbasses who refuse to search, we might as well make a place for them to post their questions so that it wont interfere with people who are actually searching for an answer.
And sure its been discussed, but this is the suggestion forum, and I'm not saying, "hey here's a problem, what can we do about it", Im saying " here's a problem, and here's a suggestion of how we can fix it.

Haha.. reading comprehension isn't one of my strong points, funny. My mistake for not knowing you knew there was a tech section. After all, you have started 29 of the threads yourself. Now I understand why you're so adamant about this.
Anyways... if you're too impatient to do a thorough search, you shouldn't be working on cars. That's not directed at you, it's for anyone. With all the resources out there, there shouldn't really be as many threads started as there are. I agree that search results are cluttered with irrelevant and unhelpful threads, but there is no reason to go changing the forum around for people who are lazy. In fact, if you search through this section for search related threads, you'll find that some people aren't even using the search function correctly, or to its full power.

The U.S. doesn't negotiate with terrorists. Zilvia doesn't negotiate with noobs.
