The proper offset is only a 10mm spacer away!

I would be more embarassed that you said "Rota Slipstream" instead of "Spoon". Spoon Sports is a VERY reputable tuning company with a very successful race effort. Rota is just crap knockoff wheels.

why buy knock off wheels and support hacks and theives? to save a few bucks..that's so sad. save up and get the real deal, because its worth it in weight, quality and construction.

I don't find that sad. Sure you have to pay to play, but when 1 rim cost almost as much as 4 rims though! I know you are buying quality, but High priced rims aren't indestructable.

dousan, its for the exact same reason that tictac just mentioned. last time i checked, real spoons cost around 2k (i forgot if it included tires). the rotas will cost me about 700-750 with tires. and for a guy on a budget, that aint bad at all. and considering the fact that i bought my car for only 3k, it would be kinda ridiculous to pay 2k for just wheels alone.:D

ruf, im not embarassed of spoon, i love their stuff. in fact, their civic is what changed my mind about the whole jdm concept. but they ARE a honda tuning company, and thats why i had to put my flame suit on. hehehe

hey if you like high offsets folks, go for it. whatever works for you

me? i like proper offsets for my car and not becoming dependent on spacers to make it look good.

but to each their own.

Rota knocks off other manufacturers' spoke designs, but they are used by racers in the US and in Asia... because they're light and cheap.

But yes, they are aimed at the FF car market, because it's many times larger than the 240SX market.

yea i think rotas have a pretty good rep. Now where would be the best place to buy them? preferably not over the net. im here in socal.

btw, keep the pics coming, cuz i havent seen what ive been looking for yet. thanks guys.

Got Sileighty?

cmon guys, someone out there's gotta have a s13 with rota slipstreams on them.

yea id like to see your daytons hahaha

my friend chokudori here tried to help me out by taking a bunch of spoon/rota pics at the apexi sale. too bad they were all on integs and civics. ive pretty much decided on these wheels, but id still like to see how they would look on an s13.

FWD offset sucks. i bought these stupid velox novas cuz they were the closest thing to volk GT-P for the money i had. if only i had been patient and saved up 400 bucks more. but its okay now that i have some SSR's about to be mounted. even though SSR mesh is sorta stereotypical these days...

anyone wanna buy some 17x7.5 +40 velox novas with toyo proxes FZ4? $600 even. san diego. c'mon... bling bling. look like polished 3 piece TE37! heheh. okay i'll shut up.

I didn't try to help you. You just got lucky that there were several cars with them in the album :D :p . For the record, I am 120% against this purchase and I reiterate...mesh, mesh, mesh. Oh yeah, I meant the SSR's that Hiko's friend brought from up north. But the Super Fins with the spinners would have worked too, as well as the Hayashi's. You have so many options, damn it! Don't buy that crap! :D :p

i bought my car for $500. my r33 rims cost $1700 with good tires. i think i beat you in the price percentage category. And my suspension ws $1500. and my engine (well i can't tell you how cheap it was, but it was more than $1500) and my bodykit, and my brakes, and my LS, and my.... heh... welcome to the wonderful world of S13 drivers.

And don't get a 17x7 +45 wheel! oh on a sidenote, the Spoons come only in 15 and 16 inch sizes, while i don't think the Regamasters even go below 17 (17 and 18 sizes, iirc). heh.

I was talking about Dayton tires Dayton HR 205-60-15 You seem to be talking about wheels though!

dorifto180sx, yea i wasnt thinking of going 17in. i want 16x7 (or 7.5).

anyway, back to the photoshopping idea hehe. i tried to look for the pics of my car that chokudori took, but he already took it off his imagestation account. so vadim, when u read this, put it back in your album, so i can post a pic of the rotas along with it and maybe someone can photochop.

Can I add some input?

Thanks...

See how "sunk in" the wheels are on the Hondas? Image that on our cars (which require lower offset (wider lip) to get the desired "fluch" look). They will look very goofy, imo. I dunno guys... knock off bodykits are one thing, where the look IS the function in many cases, but getting these cheap wheels is just asking for let down. I can honestly say that no inexpensive wheel looks good in person (quality especially) like it may online or in magazines...

here ya go... i left his calipers in the fronts, so cause it's too much work to mover and seperate the rotors etc.
