Urethane /end thread
*though fiberglass if you plan to beat it up because its cheaper and you don't care about fitment.

If you want it to hold up and fit well (usually), poly is the way to go... Ive always had poly kits and have had great luck with them.

how is this even a question?
poly can be beat with a stick for days and still be fine.
fiberglass gets effed up in like 2 days.

for the price of some fiberglass kits out there, you would think they'd be made of polyurethane. In fact is there any companies that make kits in poly? well besides garbage ass extreme dimensions and knockoff companies

Agree with all. Completely stupid, pointless question. If you care one bit about your car and how it looks you wouldn't ask, you would know.

The better question is, how many 240sx owners are actually rocking poly right now that didnt fit like shit? Poly cost more than the fiberglass kits, if itll fit and everything lines up, I'd be more than happy to spend the extra scringe for fitness sake.

I have a poly knock off of the gp sports gfour kit, fits like complete ass. So far I have a billion hours into building a frame under the bumpers to hold them in shape, but that doesn't fix the poor fitment or overall bad quality. If your buying poly, make sure its good quality before you buy.

hah, yeah I know, but I don't think there are any poly kits that aren't knock offs? Besides maybe a Wings West kit.

i'll chime in and give everyone a piece of advice that they are overlooking, even some of the old schoolers havent pointed this out.... yet.
obviously FRP is more fragile, we all know that. however, the aftermarket polypropylene is also rather shitty because of the thickness of the material. I havent seen ANY aftermarket body kit that can even compare to OEM aero. the PP material is so fucking thick and heavy, there is no way in hell I would ever consider using it on any of my cars.
I had a lip and side-skirt kit that a friend gave me to sell for him because he moved outta state. I believe it was a wings west kit. It was so fucking heavy, cumbersome and soft. Its like a big fuckin piece of jello that you're supposed to strap to your car.
no way in hell. The OEM side-skirts and lip are so fuckin light for my s13. the sideskirts especially feel like paper, very very thin. The front lip is also thin and pretty strong. The only thing I didnt appreciate about my 96-98 180sx front lip is that the studs that protrude into the bumper are not too strong. I mentioned this in the other thread. Brand new lip and one of the studs just snapped off.. sucks.

Poly... U can run over that shiat and it still holds... Ings+1 in my opinion is one of the best kits out there its flexible like a contorsionist chick and very durable also.

urethane because you can run over it and it absorbs a lot of damage...
but if you have a poor fitting kit, fiberglass is 100x easier to modify.
and shattered fiberglass kits with zipties is all the rage.
