ive heard stories of people with say vskf's that will blow there axles becuase there so heavy , what can you guys tell me about that , or is it that simple , the weight of the wheel is just to much strain on stock axles , mainly to drift on

ive sen alot of car drift on them , tho

I would say the VS-Kf's shouldn't be all THAT heavy.Work makes them so you know they're as light as they could make them and durable.though heavier than say a set of RPF-1's or something.

I'd say Running spacers would put more strain on anything than wheels alone.Though the Wheel bearings and such would be taking up the slack there.
I'd like to know as well because I'm sure depending on size, your question could apply to any wheel (Not just VS-KF's) for that matter.Even some Bigger sized Rotas :ugh:.I wasn't aware S13 axles were that weak.

oh i have a s14 now , but yea ,

and im not sure on the weight of them but i know theres alot of people rockin big sizes you know ,

a friend was tellin me a buy in luisiana blew his axles out like three times from drifting on a set of vskf,s but ive seen people drift on some huge wheels and not a problem , assuming they have enough power to spin huge wheels you know

hopefully people with super heavy wheels can help out , i should weigt mine , there some adr 18x9.5 lol i know there not light

Usually it's the 6 bolt axles that break because they are weaker than thier 5 bolt counterparts. As to how much stronger the 5 bolt axles are, I'm not sure.

You should talk with Luke (blu808). He just completed ANOTHER LSx S14, and I believe future plans call for turbocharging. That should easily put him over 500 ftlbs at the wheels, through a welded differential. See what he plans for axles.

I'm drifting on 19x10 work meister S1 and no problems at all.

I used to drift on a 19x10 VS-KF also, and they arent that heavy compared to some other crappy wheels out there.

Don't forget, there are some crazy guys in Japan running 20's in the back and still drifting.

From the cars I've seen, they had stock axles...

With the S-chassis rear ends, you'd probably blow your SR/KA trannies first before you break axles. These aint Hondas. If you're worried about breaking stock axles, time for you to start looking into GTR/Z32 TT rear ends. I got a buddy (will be pushing 700whp RB26) who just upgraded to R32 GTR rear end, I forgot how much more beefier those axles are.
