R200V is the same unit from most Nissan cars, the axles are the real limit people have seen from abuse. Anything can grenade though at virutally any power level if not taken care of.

2800whp on a dyno or 142whp with a good clutch kick. Anywhere inbetween.

Im not asking for a specific number, that would be silly, I just want to know if I can expect failure under 450 hp/tq

I would be worried more about the transmission that the diff or axles. Very rarely have I seen people blow a diff or break axles on the 240's.

A road raced Z (no drag launches) busted it's R200 IIRC @ 550ft/lbs.
Race Car destruction (http://ztuner.com/diff.htm)
He posted more data on twinturbo if you care to look it up. User Ztuner or Ztunerz.

so what engine setup are you running? If you are just running a ka or sr setup, I wouldn't worry too much about the diff or axles.

i'll do you a favor the R200 diff is the best oem dif you can ask for from nissan seeing as you can time in and time out beat the ever living shit out of it and it will hold up to anything you through at it for instance not sure if you may have heard of them but mazworx in Fl has a R200 in there 1000wrhp s14 drag car and it has seen much more power than that so to answer your question it would depend on your tranny and axels also mazworx makes 1500wrhp axle kit for us high hp 240 guys and comes with the 5 lug swap as well whether you wanna pony up the money is a different story but there you go your questions answered and if your askin how do i know if my sr tranny will hold up it will last to around 500hp don't bank on it but if you want a beefy one go wit the z32 swap
