am i viewing mine from the correct angle? all my markings line up like that but she still wont seem to start. so i guess my question what angle should i be looking at to line up the pin with 20 degrees?

i know its just a matter of lining up the teeth right, its just being a pain in the ass skank hooker. the car was running fine, a lil rich ealier today and so i wanted to adjust my timing, didnt dawn on me that i didnt need to pull the distributor till it was too late. now i just need to get it back in there. the car will only start if the distributor is in 1 correct position correct? wont start if its 1 tooth off either way? just wanna make sure so i dont do this shit again.

I once bought a new distributor from a parts shop for my KA, and the mark to line up the gear was 180 degrees wrong. So as I cranked the car, air was being sucked in through my exhaust.

I took out the distributor, re-aligned the mark so it was exactly opposite of what it should be, and the engine turned over.

It took me 3 days to find the problem....

Stick a long screwdriver in the number one spark plug hole, turn the crank, wait until it's completely topped out, move it back just a hair. That's it. It's seriously hit and miss, I've done some that go first try, some that take three hours. Just hold your breath and don't kick shit too hard.

What they said. Gotta nut up and quit being a bitch. Make it start and pour a redbull on it to get it to stop.
