ok so i really didnt want to start a new thread about this, but i spent like the last few hours searching. but anyways im having a problem with my stance coilovers. I bought them last summer, off a nico classified, they came in on time all that jazz. anyways i bolted them up to my car and then adjusted them as low as they will go, fronts are on the collars(yes i know i can remove the collars) and the rear still has a room but i cant turn it anymore (both sides stop at the same place and yes i tried taking them apart and cleaning them) put it back on the ground was not that impressed, i thought they would have been lower. so i dismissed it, thought they might settle a little. as they sit now my fraim rails are about 4 to 5 inches off the ground. called stance talked to them the guy said i probly had s14 coil overs since they were longer and that would explain why my car still sits so hi. did some research on my own found out that the upper mounting plates are different between the s13 and s14. so then i didnt think they were s14 coilovers. im so confused right can you please help.

You're tucking about .5-1" of your tire and your frame rails are 4-5" off the ground? I find that really hard to believe as my car is about 1" higher than yours and I have about 3.5-3.75" of clearance to my frame rails.

Your car just looks tall because you have what looks like a really tall sidewall tire(what size are those things?) and hella sunken wheels with no sideskirts.

Droop the rear spring if you want it a little lower, but please get your wheels out a bit. I'm not even a wheel fitment nazi but that looks pretty bad.

i know my frame rails are not the 2.5 inches that your suggesting they are at least 4 inches off the ground. and mind you im stance they are supposed to be the some of the lowest coilovers. ok thanks and about the wheels i got a 5 lug swap for hella cheap and needed a quick replacement i picked up the wheels and tires for like 100 bucks but the tires are 225/35/17 falken azenis rt615. and thanks for you input, but what bugs me the most is that, my friend on megan coils is lower than i am lol

ok so i think people are confusing what he is asking.........

are the rear mounting points the same?

as in the two bolts that go to the upper rear shock tower, are they the same?

that is what he is looking for..

OP needs to droop some spring.

I'm running 215/45/17s on a pair of 17x9 +20 FNs in the rear, and have bottomed out the lower bracket on the rear coilovers, and I'm tucking at least 3/8" of my sidewalls, with zero preload and zero droop.

OP probably put preload on the rear springs hoping they would lower the car, although I have no idea who first came up with that idea, since it is the opposite of what common sense would tell them...

Anyway, droop some spring and you can go low man.

And yes, your wheel fitment looks like ass. I bet you can house a homeless dude or two with that kind of wheel gap.

Who was your wheel fitment coach, Chewbacca?

PS - those are S13 coilovers. If you had S14 coilovers you'd have a looooooooooooot more shock body showing between the bottom of the 2 spring perch collars and the locking collar for the lower bracket than that.

ok thanks, and i know i my fitement sucks i actually found a hobo in there one day trying to catch a ride to the next town over, lol i didnt preload the shock at all didnt even think to check it much, just left that collar alone when i put them on. thanks for you help. and to def my apologies your right my frame rails are much closer to the ground then i thought, i had to go dig part of my car out of like 3 feet of snow to check, but you were right.
