i was driving on the freeway to work and i heard a LOUDASS POP sound from the rear of the car. it sounded like my tires popped but when I got to work the tires look fine.
I was just in 5th going straight and wasnt shifting or turning or anything
what do u guys think it might be
by the way im using coilovers but I dont know if it could be that. can coilovers blow like that and make a pop?
i didnt see anything fall off my car in the rear view either

My rear pops all the time, its the subframe shifting.

what kind of exhaust do you have
when i got my buddy club
spec2 exhaust with a testpipe
i remember cruzing on the freeway and my exhaust
made a loud pop noise
i guess cause my car is acting up with the back fire
but eh could be

you might of just drove over somethin and it hit something under your car. i drove over something once and it hit my downpipe and lifted the front of my car 3-5 inches in the air...my downpipe has this wierd dent in it now thow lol

doubt it
you either hit something or your subframe was slopping around

I doubt the subframe would make that popping noise if you were going in a straight line at a constant speed. I have only gotten it turning or going up a big curb. You probably kicked up a rock or a piece of debris.

just throwing this out there...ck your rear lugs. sounds crazy but its happened to me before. i put some different rim/tire combo back there that put to much stress on them and caused the lug studs to break. first one it popped i didnt know what it was, second time it scared me but still didnt know what it was, third time it happened, my left rear side just dropped and rim was being held on by one stud.

Like everyone else said could of just been a rock that flew up into your wheel well or hit the body. Might wanna check the strut shafts on your coilovers just to make sure they didnt snap.

you drive a 15 year old car. it's gonna make fucked up noises.
just ignore it

My subframe will clunk going straight, if you dont have sub collars there is about 1" of play, and hitting a crease in the road with blown bushings will cause this clunk.
I put on spacers and my passenger end clunks like a bitch sometimes, everything is tight.
