Yup, you got an S14 engine that the ECU is set for 370cc. You go bigger injectors, the stock ECU wouldnt know what to do with it. You can either have a rom tune for the said ECU with better fuel/timing map for your setup, or get a PFC and be done with it.

There is a difference, beyond that.

Inconel exhaust wheel as well.
I also want to believe the compressor wheel is slightly different as it supports more PSI and power. I know everyone says it's not, but I have my doubts.
Forum guys buy into all the hooha and jump onto rumors.

There is an EXTREMELY small difference between the turbos - not one big enough to consider putting an S15 turbo on a S14 SR20 an "upgrade".
You should return your S15 turbo and buy a GT2860 or GT2871 - something that would actually be an upgrade.

This I will agree with.

S15 exhaust housing is bigger
same size
same compressor wheel
same compressor housing
same trim/size exhaust wheel.
differnt exhaust housing( same, but has a little "splitter" casted into the housing to divide the exhaust gas flow from the wastegate outlet.
can someone show me further info they have an inconel shaft./exh wheel.??

If this is true please explain to me how the max WHP I have ever seen on a S14 T28 is 284 WHP and for an S15 upwards of 310-320 WHP? The exhaust divider makes up the ground? Pfft.

From everything I've read about the S15 turbo - even an article with a direct dyno comparison between the S14 and S15 turbos - it should make a few extra whp.....not 40whp. In the article I'm talking about when they put the S15 turbo on instead of the S14 (at the same PSI) they noticed a slightly change in the power curve and it made a few more whp I think. The conclusion of the article was pay 250-350 for a S14 turbo and don't ever pay 800 for a S15 turbo (I know they can be gotten for much less now).
I've never seen any dynographs of someone making 310+whp on a S15 turbo - I've seen 290ish on a S14 turbo but I don't have the graphs. I'd love to see some dynographs....I really wish I could find that old article I was reading because it was very informative and backed up everything it was saying.
Here's a thread off of here:

There was an article in a magazine in the last 6 months that measured the major dia. of multiple SR turbos and I could have swore that the S15 turbo was bigger.
