I have a red top sr20det the bottom end has new bearings stock rodds and wiseco pistons MLS cometic gasket. the head is full port and polish double spings from comp cams Ti locks and retainers & new factory valves. It has a new oil pump and timeing kit also. Whati need to know is what is the most power i can make and it last for a while as a week end warrior. I have full apexi power fc and fuel system turbos good to 500+ thank you very much

You should dyno it to see if it was done right.

Who the fuck knows...itll all ultimately depend on whos tuning it. We dont have magical fucking crystal balls to tell you how YOUR engine will run. Just cuz you built the engine to handle 500hp does NOT mean you will get 500hp. Sounds like your running this engine on hopes and dreams...

just throwin this out there. you know.... Crazy idea

but why dont you ask the guy that built the engine.

Maybe just maybe he will know how much power it will hold.

Well he is an engine builder not a tuner he just built the engine he is a nissan tech i know the engine is sound i dont want to know what i will make but what it should handle. Will it go 400-450 . I wont talk to the tuners out here the all have supposed 400+hp hondas or DSM's that run 14's lol not even gonna waste my time with them. will have to tow car at least 2 hours to get dyno tuneing done.:2f2f:

are you fucking serious? ask the fucking builder end of story. the builder will let you know what it will handle the tuner will let you know what it makes.

You still dont fucking get it...it doesnt matter how fucking built the engine is. If you have a crappy tuner, engine will run like shit, not make power and not last that long. Every tuner is different...they all have their style of tuning. So no fucking 2 engines will produce the same amount of power even if they are identical.

For christ fucking sake...you didnt even say shit as far as whats attach to the fucking engine? Sure you got pistons, but what compression/bore? You got a fucking turbo, but what the fuck is it? Fuel/injector size? Like I said, we dont have a fucking crystal ball.

haha

stock rods = 400rwhp and that is pushing it. once the engine temps get hot = they stretch and or snap!!

btw, why dont you pay steve_shadows to tune your car???

he can send you a base chip first.. then get it running and pay for his flight do to some good tuning on your car at a local shop.. .im sure he can arrange something!!

Eh, thats hear say. Ive seen enough SR guys out here on fully stock bottom ends pushing 450-480whp on stock rods, pistons and a TD06-26G.

26G?LOL

you mean 25G and you'd need a 10cm2 to reach those power figures with a huge inlet plenum, and 1.6bar of boost.
shinji minowas car makes 480rwhp with 1.6bar boost, race gas ( 105octane), td06-25G, 2.1L sr

so.. you are tottaly wrong there dude

sorry :(

Sorry for the typo...but hey im just relaying what ive seen out here in okinawa.

Here's one of them:
S14 Engine, Power FC D-jetro, 850cc's NISMO FP TD-06SH 25G at 1.5 bar Tomei 270 with 12.5mm lift, solid lifters, port&polished, Double vavle springs, Crappy Greddy 2 core FMIC, 60mm throttle body, Greddy Surge tank, Sard FPR

Same setup when he maxed out the 850s and switched to a T04R
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a352/silviasichigo/T04RDyno508ps.jpg

Again stock bottom. All the work was done on the head. I know for a fact the first dyno is. The 2nd one, I cant remember if its before or after he went full Tomei bottom. He killed the bottom end due to thermal breakdown. No oil cooler, temp reached 125-130 ish and run too thin.

Those dyno figures are shit, they read so high its not funny!~! everyone even in japan knows this!

ohh.. and who cares if its a stock bottom end... its just a dyno!! it might last howeverfor what? the dyno and a few more runs after it???

you don't quite get it was what should this handle

i say 350rwhp all day everyday.

Again, not my car, im just making a point that its possible. The stock bottom end actually lasted 3 yrs. Daily driven, and street raced it 2x a week on a regular basis.

Hell, enjukuracing built a stock bottom end SR and hit over 600hp on it, iirc that engine never blew.

having a stock bottom end doesnt limit you from making power
it limits your reliability. im sure anyone who wants 400-500hp ++ at the wheels goes and buys aftermarket parts, considering they are worth fuck all over in the states now..

You are wrong badrun. I've been stock bottom over 400hp for 3 years... before that i was t28 and 300hp beaten daily for 40 miles to/from school everyday for 2 years, and tracks on weekends. before that t25 @ 1bar for a year and whatever beating it took in j-land before that.

don't doubt the integrity of the stock bottom end... shadows' is fast as nuts too.

that sounds retarded

Engine parts are rated to a certian Hp. Therefore an Engine bulder will build an engine to handle a certian amount of power.

The Tuner will tune the engine and pull as much power from the Engine based on the supplied power upgrades. The tuner could tell you how much power you "would" make with the supporting mods.
But unless the tuner built your engine the tuner wont know unless hes tuned a varitiy of that engine.

If you have a 600 hp turbo you need to build the engine to handle 660+ hp. Which is up to the builder.
