A friend of mine hit a curb and now the car doesnt start.
We have look at many things and attempted all the obvious. Is there any ideas.
The car will not crank as in when you turn the key no signal goes to the starter.
Would it have anything to do with the clutch switch thing? we have already bypassed it to make sure that wasnt it.
Car gets power and accessories work but no signal to the starter.
ALSO when i turn the key to on i dont see any light turn on in the ECU.

This is an sr20det blacktop s13 engine
thanks guys

is the wire for th signal still connected to the starter? or did it fall off?

^^ you might want to check the wires to the starter. if they werent tightly secured in the first place, it could've been disconnected when the car hit the curb.

hit the curb again. it might reconnect the starter wire. are you typing this on your phone while waiting for a tow truck AND prior to cops coming? :)

1) We all know "my friend" means it was you
2) Your user name has the word slide in it
3) You hit a curb trying to drift on the street

I had this problem before except me nor "my friend' hit the curb.

my solution is similar to his

hit the curb again. it might reconnect the starter wire. are you typing this on your phone while waiting for a tow truck AND prior to cops coming? :)

except...no curb hitting. Hit the starter with a long/metal object..umbrella, prybar, driveshaft :bigok:

Check your fender harness'. Your tire sounds like it could've cut into them.
