Anyone else bugged by car enthusiasts that don't wanna lower their car. I'm not nesesacrly even talking about slamed it to the ground but atleast something simple like a Eibach Pro-Kit. Of course lowering the car where it touches the ground is pretty retaded anyway.
1.2 inch is nothing. Makes the car handle and look better. When you bring it up they give lame ass excuese like:
1. Wah Wah I'll Scape everything Wah Wah : Then drive a bit more carefull
2. Wah Wah my city if Full of Pot Holes and other stuff : then don't drive carelessly. You should avoild pot holes anyway
3. I already scape stuff...Then you a idiot and need to drive more carefull.
4. My car is alrady low as it is.
No IT's no dumbass! it's a ****in 4x4! I can stick my head in your wheel gap.
5. It already handles really and is already stiffwell..
Stop lying to yourself! Doesn't all that bodyroll scare the hell out of you? Look at all that body flex
wah Wah Wah wah wah SHUT UP!

Lowering the car/ stiffenign the suspension might mean adding to more body flex.

i still scrape with my sportlines and lip, and i tried to drive as careful as possible, but some inclines were just impossible not to knick...so now i just dont give an ish anymore, i mean who looks at the bottom of your front lip anyways?

True but nots likes get technical here.
Since i was once the people that you speak about. STFU!
i didnt lower my car for nearly 2 years because i was waiting to get the right suspension for it. I wasnt about to put springs on the car and bottom out at autox and road courses. i wasnt about to go with springs an shocks to not like the lack of full adjusment or pillow balls
so i waited and got the suspension i wanted, HKS Hyper Dampers

I'm not talking about people who didn't plan to do it I'm talking about people who have had no intention to do it at all.

This is the worst thread I've seen in a long time. Car enthusiasts are enthusiasts for many different reasons. We have different views on looks, handling, and what we want from our cars. Don't judge people and their cars based on your opinions.
Wheel gap is hardly an issue. Lowered cars have no gap at the top, but it sticks out around the front and back, looks like ass. Uniform gap between the wheel and the well (factory to one and a half inches of lowering) are what look best to me.
Handling is relative as well. A car lowered one inch can handle better than a car lowered three, it all depends on how it's done, the shocks, and primarily the spring rates. Hell, my suspension is exactly what I want out of it. Very responsive, minimal body roll, and enough suspension travel to still be comfortable for a dailly driver.
Scraping is an issue, not all of us live in towns (or even have paved roads everywhere :P ). If you are spending all of your focus avoiding potholes and minor obstacles that most folks just go over, then you are driving like an idiot and need to pay more attention to the other cars on the road.
Ace covered it on body flex, stiffer suspension puts more strain on the unibody, promoting MORE body flex then a softer suspension.
I'm not saying you shouldn't lower your car (Hell, mine already has a mild drop), but this thread is rediculous, attacking people on an opinion and demanding that they follow suit and lower their cars. I have no beef with people who slam their cars, people who jack up their cars, people who leave them stock, or anywhere in between. The whole idea behind being an enthusiast is to do something you like, not something everybody else says you should like. You really should be ashamed. . .

Like I said here I'm not talking about lowering it 3 inches. I'm talking about somethign small like an Inch is all.

THIS POST SUCKS
who cares
so you only lower your car cuz you cant think for yourself? you have to copy those before you?
it doesnt matter if its lowered or not. people do what they want. its not your business to push it on them, people can decided if its right for them or if its what they want

I'm a car enthusiast, and I feel no need to lower my car at his time. One, I can't afford it, and two, I don't feel I need it. Maybe once I start kicking ass in G stock I'll invest in some suspension to move up a class, but for now, I'm fine with how my car handles. :o

Right.... I sure am copying someone. Even on my old G20 I always looked at it is dang that car would look much nicer if it didn't so high and have all that gap between the wheels and the body. Cause the car always looked disconted to me. Always been a peeve of mine even before I cared about cars at all.

I think that yelling at people (or bitching about them) for not lowering their car or planning on it is a pretty asinine thing to do.
It's like me yelling at people for not bieng catholic, or jewish, or not liking sausage pizza. Get over it. You will never sway people by stepping up on a pedistol and telling people how to think, so stop trying.

Lowering cars is old school. Someone needs to start a trend and start lifting their cars instead of lowering it. I'm not starting the trend, any takers?

Yeah, this has to rank up there as one of the dumbest posts ever.
wah Wah Wah wah wah SHUT UP!
You should take your own advice.

i would have to agree with everyone... it's retarded to judge people like that. some cars look fine the way they do from factory. case in point: s2000. that car just looks great the way it is. my friend already scrapes it (he DOES drive carefully...) sometimes. lower that an inch and you got to be maaad careful...
some people just don't want to have to drive really really carefully. avoiding potholes is fine, but what about going up inclines? what about speed bumps? those are annoying as hell with a lowered car. and you just got to be so careful that it gets annoying too.
like AceInHole mentioned, lowering the car does not necessary mean less body roll. going back to the s2000 example. that car handles like a beast stock! i didn't feel too much body roll when that junk takes corners.

Do a search on FA on NiteKids's posts. They are all worthless, as are the 3 current Zilvia threads. He may very well be worthless as well.
-Jeff
i can see insulting something because of something they do to there car(i.e. big wing, 19 in. rims, etc.) but why joke on them for not doing something!??!?! its like me sayin why the hell didnt you get a paint job before you got a turbo?!?! Your a dumba$s. If people not wanting to lower their cars bugs you that much, then maybe you need to get some help.
Sorry to bump this thread but i wanted to tell this guy hes an idiot too!!!

Absurd. Unbelievable. I used to post on FA, and NiteKids was there, being stupid. And he does it here too. What's the matter with him?
People shouldn't even waste time reading his idiot threads. I think I'll sue him for the time I've just wasted. Argh!
Got Sileighty?
