i am planning a simple turbo setup on my ka..
i plan on running:
sr t25 turbo
sr 370 injectors
255 pump
at stock boost, would i need to get an safc or something for it to run right? or will it run almost normal with no tuning
help is greatly appreciated.

any time you change your injector size, you need some type of engine management.
If you install 370cc injectors, your stock ecu will still think you have factory 270cc injectors.
If youre on a budget, stick w/ the stock 270s and get a vortech FMU (boost reliant fuel pressure regulator. Increases fuel pressure when under boost.) with an 11:1 diaphram along w/ the new fuel pump. That should be good for 7psi.
good luck

i'd get at least a rom tuned ecu, even for only 7lbs, you can knock the timing back and use a safc to control the fuel, but it wont really be super effective. i never trusted my safc, i know personally i enjoy the peace of mind with my enthalpy

Tune yoru shit, the stock ECU is way wrong for any boost.

Why do people think all you have to do supply fuel and thats what tuning is?
Here is what a stock sr20det's timing looks like

And here is a ka24de timing map
http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn40/4x4le/misc/katiming.jpg
I know, 2 different engines, but the idea Im trying to get across is the timing is advanced more in the higher load cells on the N/A (ka) then the turbo (sr) map is.
If anyone wants to bring up that its not right to compare 2 differnt engines your right, it isnt, but Im just trying to show that the timing is set up for a na setup and the best way around this is to re tune the ecu. Also, the sr20de timing curve looks very similar to the ka24de timing curve if any one wants me to provide pics of that, so I really dont think its too unfare to compare a sr20det timing curve to a ka24de's. If nissan were cool enough to have turbod a ka24de fromt the factory I would have provided a picture of that timing curve.

Your name sounds familiar, Do I see you on the nistune forum?
edit, I always start with the same manual transmission sr20det bin file when I begin a tune on a sr as in the states there is not many people running the auto tranny with the sr, but I cant believe how much the timing is retarded on the auto tranny bin files for the sr! Sorry for getting off topic in the op's thread but I noticed that while looking at some of the bin files I have for stock nissan tunes. I feel really sorry for the guys that run stock swaps and ended up with a auto tranny ecu with their swaps lol. I bet they are making way< 200hp
