when i look at pictures of work emotions, there is a WORK logo carved into the metal on the wheel (between the spokes at the top in the picture).
other than this carving is there any other way to tell if a RAYS/Work rim is fake or real? im shopping for used rims and dont wanna get ripped
or are there fake volks/works that still have the logos carved into them?
i seen my friends TE37s and they do not have a RAYS/VOLK logo carved on the wheel. I know they sell fake rays stickers u can put on the spokes but do they also make fakes for the hologram sticker that goes inside the wheel? could someone take those off of a real set of volks and put them on some rotas?
is the carved logo enough to tell if its fake or real or are there other things I should look at?
which volks do or do not have the carving?

As far as I know no fake wheel will take the time to put a word in their casting to make it say Work or Rays on it. My old Emotions like the one posted above had raised letters on it that said "WORK". You cant duplicate it unless you put it in the casting. My new 3pc Work VSXX do not say anything on them. But no knock off wheel can duplicate 18x11" -5 offset mesh wheels that look stunning. Atleast none I've seen.
if you cant tell real TE's from fakes just by looking at them, then you shouldn't be buying them.

They should have the rays/volk official sizing sticker on the inner barrel/lip of the wheel. On my TEs there are no stamped or raised logos, but if you can't tall the difference between the authentic wheels and the rota, or whatever knockoffs weigh them.

4 lug knock offs, the valve stem will line up with one of the lug holes, volks dont line up

5 lug volks will have the lug hole closest to the valve stem, knock offs the opposite side

for the record, the name is cast into the wheel, not carved. normally it wouldn't bother me, but you said "carved" about 15 times. if anything, the details are machined into the wheels, not whittled.

yea but im asking if all TEs, CEs, have a VOLK racing stamp cast on them
like in this picture between the top spokes
i havent looked at the guys wheels yet but he said there was no volk racing logo cast into the wheel AND there was no RAYS sticker inside on the wall of the wheel

Rota stamps "ROTA" with the offset into the backside of the wheel somewhere also.

all TE's should be the same, all CE's the same, etc. if the wheels don't have the logo and the style listed does, i think you have your answer.

Usually the forged wheels will say Monoblock Forged on them.

I see what you did there...
On topic: If you don't see the casting on the lip of the wheels, check on the backside of the spokes. That's where the casting is on my GT-2's.

VORK'S RAVS wheels. More popular in the UK and what not from what it seems.
The sizing of those fake TE's suck. Ultra pizza cutters.
Same with Rota's.
You'd have to be a fool to buy knock off's.
Even if the wheel had no badges/stamping at all.
also, i'm 99% sure that TE's dont come in multipattern (not sure about that. maybe they do), or with a polished lip

They don't, because they would be called LE's :)

AFSIL80 is correct all RAY's, and WORK wheels are stamped on the inside of the wheel spoke or the inside of the wheel hub.
