Hey guys me and a few buddies from school are prob gonna do bahamas on spring break this year and today in duress from horrible calf pain ( had a beyond hardcore leg workout yesterday) wondered about the availability of some "
better" painkillers in the bahamas? I mean today tylenol extra strength was practically useless for this pain today, so we figured it would be cool to score some decent shit over there.

Before anyone brings up illegal use of painkilers, that is not what I am asking about, that shit is wrong and stupid. I just want to know if things like tylenol 2 or tylenol w/ codine are available otc over there, for people who actually have pain to deal with.

any thoughts

Gabe...
You don't like me, I know this...
I won't even bother getting into that, but I will answer your question...

In the Caribbean, imagine US Drug Stores, where you can get Advil, Tylenol and other similar pussy-ass bullshit...
Now imagine that you can buy VICODIN just as easily without a prescription.
yes, like that!
Dude, I saw VIAGRA in a drug store in EVERY one of 4 Caribbean stops on my last cruise.
You will be fine, get whatever your heart desires, just have some cash on you.

I will also refrain from asking how in the HELL you could be ANYWHERE in Florida for as long as you have without knowing this already.

oh phlip i dont hate u hahaha, we may not allways be on the same page but naw, but see the last time i was in the bahamas, i was around 9 years old, so I didnt get a chance to check that out, my web-searches for exactly what is available have been pretty fruitless, but this is good news, should make for a hilarious trip.

I know the rules over there are pretty laxe just not too sure what exactly could be obtained.
worrrrrd

Yea...that's a good idea. Then what happens when you run out and you are now used to the good shit? You should see a doctor if you really have a need for meds like that. Although nowadays you may be able to just order it online from a foreign country.

Fine, then as someone who has been to the caribbean 3 times in his adult life, I will reassure you that you have NOTHING to worry about.

Real talk, "drug stores" in the states are for aspirin and condoms. On THAT side, you can get muscle relaxers, painkillers, ED medicine and ANYTHING you would be able to imagine in Miami... All I say is save yourself a headache by being prepared to spend cash. Yes, they take your plastic, but is it worth the headache?

I am going to the caribbean next at the end of November, and I am stockpiling money orders ($50 per pay period, started in November , $1300 straight cash, homie) when I paid for the cruise, so as to not have to worry about using plastic or exchange rates when i go.

... I am just hoping Barack Obama and his "change" doesn't fuck me out of my vacation.
(that comment is TOTALLY not aimed at you, Gabe, the person who it is knows who they are)

Some of the Schedule 2/3 stuff you still need a Prescription. More then likely the Pharmacy will know of a clinic near buy with walk in service.

I do not recommend re-entering the country without a prescription for/with those drugs.

Travel with a woman...
Make use of tampon boxes.

It's a lot like Mexico. There are a ton of drug stores in the tourist traps. Why? They want tourists to buy their drugs, and by god do we ever. Soma's, Norco's, Vicodin, Codeine, Valium, etc... It can get a little pricey though.

Just don't try and get them back into the country unless they are up your butt.

I don't know about customs in CA, but in FL (I have come back in from Port Canaveral and Port of Miami), the customs guys are more concerned with alcohol... The dogs go on the boat and sniff for narcotics...
Travel with a woman, customs guys do NOT look in tampon boxes, because it is "weird" to them or whatever reason.

I also have a question.

Spring break isn't for awhile.

Why should your calf still hurt by then?

So true! When I went to virgin islands / PR they were more concerned with alcohol then anything else. They had a limit of 3 bottles /person and I don't believe they even checked for narcotics other than the dogs at the port(atleast they didn't check any of me or my friends, no searches or anything). And using the tampon box is a pretty funny idea I might have to remember that one hah

I find it easier to get a script. Clinic is cheaper then a chick.
