ok i have a s13 ka24det making like 400hp and im thinking about supercharging it too. ive already supercharged a ka before so is no biggy. my question is when using a exterra supercharger do u think is might choke the motor cause it seems like the SC is kind of small . i no they make a twincharge kit for cobras and it makes insane power with no lag ! so let me know ur opinion!

why waste the time? If you already have a "400" hp KA then it is already plenty quick. You would be all alone pioneering a huge waste of time and money. If you are looking for a way to aid in spool times then add a little bit of giggle juice.
My setup is a sc6262 with a 55 shot Zex.

If you are using a Screw/Rotor supercharger it won't "choke." It will just free spin when the turbo spools up.

The trick is to get a small Supercharger matched to the engine. Just maxing out at redline. Then getting a big turbo that spools up as the supercharger reaches it's peak and starts dropping off.

Picking the right SC is not too hard. But getting a turbo that spools at the right time is were the art is and where you will spend the money swapping out.

I like your avatar. LOL. To be honest I think it is a big waste of time and I am not a fan of it. Its much like the guy with the 8 turbo Chevy small block that was only able to make about 800hp. There are much easier/better ways to make power and if I were you I would keep things as simple as possible esp. considering it doesnt sound like you have any exp. with twincharging.

i was just gonna do it for fun cause im cruious on how it wuld feel to have instant boost and 400hp following it. it would be a bad ass track car

Then go on craigslist and get a Zex kit for 250 bones. lol. Cheap, easy, reliable.

Sure you can put a huge turbo on and make great peak HP. But, Twincharging is more about powerband then peak.

You can only pick two...

ummmm yeah. I know how twincharging works . If you know what you are doing you can have a single turbo car that makes 400+ hp with excellent spool, a fat, broad powerband and good top end that is completely drivable.

And I can pick three since I have hookups. IE.

Brand New Ball Bearing Billet wheel Precision SC6262- 400 bucks
Tial 40mm wastegate Brand New- 150 bucks.

Both of these, were cheap, are easy to use and work on, and are def. reliable.

Let me raise this thread from the dead.. Checking to see if anyone has actually done this setup. I've seen some pics online but never a complete project or even running.
