I'm looking for harmonic balancer pullers, I'm doing a timing chain job on my ka24de and I need to do some maintainence on my sr20. The puller I have doesn't fit. So, my question, does anyone know where I can get the puller or pullers for these specifically or nissan engines. Any info would be a big help.

Thanks

You can buy pullers from any hardware store and your local automotive stores. Just find one that has a range that includes diameter of the OEM Pulley.

Ghetto Style!

I changed my pulley and used a flathead to pry slowly.

make sure you have the installer tool as well, DO NOT HAMMER IT ON

It should just slide back on. Watch out for the notched piece that sits on the crank itself. It's a bitch to realign and takes forever if you mess it up.

Ghetto Version!

Remove FP fuse.

throw the socket on the nut and wrench with long breaker bar

Put a tire between the wrench and breaker bar.

Crank the engine once.

Nut is loose!

are those things really loose? i would think it should need to be pressed on with a tool. if its loose thats kinda dangerous. im just speaking from experience from working with chevys

No, they sit really snug. It does take some persuasion to get the pulley off w/o a puller, but can be done. The biggest thing to watch for is that damn notched piece. Such a PITA.

Do you have a pic of the puller that you tried to use?
